Safe way to jailbreak my iphone 3?
 

I have an unlocked i-phone 3. I purchased a sim from straight talk and managed to unlock the phone using unlockit.co.nz. But the phone does not want to send pic messages and the 3g data internet does not work, I can only browse when using wifi. Is this because I need to jailbreak the phone, or is this another issue? Is thebigboss.org a good site to trust to help me jailbreak my phone?
Also, how do I find out which firmware vs I am using? Hep meh plz!

To find out which firmware you're using go to:

Settings > general > about. You are probably on 3.1.3

I don't know how they unlocked your phone, but you need to make sure the correct APN settings are in for your network. Also, it sounds like you may have gotten a tmobile bands SIM and not an ATT one, can you confirm this?

You might have to actually downgrade your software version depending on what exactly version you have. Just download the program and it will then jailbreak. Take a look at the article of how to jailbreak iPhone running 6.1.1, which will tell you a safe way to jailbreak your iPhone 3.
