Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
If the iphone on sprint is as popular as it was with ATT/Verizon then i hope Sprint is building up their network so they can handle it and hopefully it doesnt slow the data connection for the rest of us

Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
I JUST settled on buying the HTC 3D when I heard this rumor... Now I have to wait until September to buy a new phone. This better be true!
|
Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
It's as true as any other rumor. Time will tell but I doubt that Sprint can afford to offer the iPhone.

Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
And the bandwith is sure to be affected by iPhone users especially those defecting from ATT as they are so used to waiting to go on Youtube till they hit a wifi hotspot that they are not goign to know what to do with themselves when they actually have the ability to watch youtube or anything else they want while on a good 3G network. Therefore making it just another bad 3g network. I hope all the upgrades Sprint is currently working on have enough of an impact to counteract the influx of defectors.

I'll also point out that data caps do nothing to address these issues, on any network. Tapa tapa tapa |
Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
You're right...
But I have high hopes that we will not be adversely affected by these changes and in fact hope that the upgrades have nothing short of improved bandwith and access. p. |

Wirelessly posted (Htc Arrive: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; Nexus S 4G Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)
I heard when apple is finish with Verizon first order (which is a very large order and strategically done) other cdma carriers such as sprint, would be able to place a order. |

There is not one spot in my entire city where I don't get coverage or I drop calls, and I constantly see "3G" or "H" on my task-bar, but I have friends on ATT who can't get coverage at all in some areas. My boss has to go outside to download anything to his iPhone meanwhile I'm sitting here getting 5 bars with HSDPA at my desk. Depends on area but I know far more people who get better coverage on tmobile than people on ATT. |

At least you have the cows to look at.

well considering I live in a city this does not apply to me, and Sprint seems to suck in cities, so I guess if you live in BFE get Sprint, if you live in a city get tmo. |
Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
Sprint's spotty service just plain sucks. No point in worrying about internet speeds when you can't even make a phone call. In my area, ATT has the better service all around.

Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
So what you are saying is that MORE people will have MORE choices in More places.
Sprint RULES here in San Diego... EVERYWHERE there's Sprint... There's Sprint... EVERYWHERE there's Verizon... Tere' Sprint... And EVERYWHERE there's ATT... Well... You'll find an iPhone user looking for wifi in order to watch a youtube video. We don't even have 4G here and my service rocks everywhere. Except for my office... It's in the middle of a canyon and it's a concrete building. So I only get like one bar or 2 if lucky. p. |

Re: IPHONE 4GS on Sprint
I'll give the iPhone something over Android...iTunes (love it or hate it), for having an iPad2, iPod touch 2nd and 3rd gen. I buy the program ONCE and sync it to all the devices for FREE. I have 2 android phones right now and buying apps for the wife and me is starting to cost me LOTS of money. The Android RDP app is $25 for starters, haven't found a free version yet either, x2 stinks...I was toying with getting one or two and shifting back and fourth between phones since it isn't hard to activate ESN's on Sprints website.

ATT does have more coverage, but I know PLENTY of ppl on ATT who drop calls like hot potatoes and get 1 bar in places and constantly complain about service. Here's one article from January with various polls: Verizon vs. AT&T vs. Sprint vs. T-Mobile: Who's best in your city? - CSMonitor.com ATT and Sprint are bottom feeders for the most part, but ATT seems to get worse marks. per my observations the order of reliability is VZW, tmobile, Sprint, ATT |
