I think you forgot to attach the screenshot...But it doesnt really matter because on my end still no luck...when I download and unzip all types of files come out...but i cant find a single one with that ispw file extension. Im downloading firefox right now to try downloading it with that.

OK! The firefox is doing it properly... Ill see if I can get it jailbroke with no more problems..hopefully so!

im all the way to the restore part and i cant seem to get it to restore properly...After holding shift and selecting the file..all it does is show a bar going back and fourth saying preparing iphone for restore then eventually an error pops up saying it cant be done...

are you using itunes or sn0wbreeze*?



Ireb might work for you, it can bypass those errors.

If you can't seem to download the attachment go here:

http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

This has all the current firmware versions that apple has released, make sure you download only the file that corresponds to your device.

Do NOT and I repeat do NOT update your device through a push update via iTunes, you will be bumped up to the latest firmware and if you do that your screwed.

yeah if you are updating thru itunes to 3.1.2 (nothing above!) then hold shift and hit update. Do not ever update thru itunes officially.

oh I didn't see the "shift" part. Then yeah try it with ireb. (assuming you are flashing the jailbroken ipsw)
