Re: Google Plus
I haven't had a ton of time to play on it the past few days, but I see a huge upside comparing it to fb. It's way more organized. The huddle is a great feature. I spent like 4 hours on it on launch day and had a "as fun as you can have on the net" evening playing on it.

Re: Google Plus
nope ill stick to Facebook,im not too keen on google's large attempt to try to take over the world. they should've stayed a search engine and that business is suffering now since they've began unreasonably branching out to others.

I love the idea of circles. Don't like my work stuff comingled with my social stuff and want to have my tech stuff separate from that. I know people with multiple Facebook accounts and its a bit of a mess to handle. Plus I'd probably end up friending myself and then getting into an argument and unfriend myself. That would be a mess! |

I mean look: The HTML5 test - How well does your browser support HTML5? Desktop IE9 gets a score of 130+5...my phone has almost 2x higher HTML5 compliance score... Quote:

Second of all, It measures FPS of css 3d which the older versions of the browsers don't support yet, and little sites use it yet but its irrelevant in the end because M$ is not picking up WebCL yet..which will allow framerates of 10x higher then your used to now. Third of all your competing unreleased software vs released software. Like the default iOS5's Safari beat IE9 on framerate, read it up on pocketnow..we will see how Ice cream sandwich default browser compares.. Quote:

Not to mention don't forget Bing uses where people visit to rank their results..since Google is the biggest search engine, the top results of Bing tend to copy the results of Google..(M$ admitted to this back in feb) Quote:
That said most browsers pass with 97 or higher.. IE9 tests for 95 actually on ACID3 just tested it myself(and so does IE10)...only Desktop browsers that test in low/mid 90s are old browsers or outdated browsers.. Android tests for 93 but in honeycomb it get 100.. Quote:

Yes they may scan the emails to target ads (pain in the butt, I agree). Same as Facebook, and I'm sure every other email client. I won’t put my SS# in an email. I never put anything too personal in emails anyway. I say if google start sharing my pictures or other personal information through the search engines then that's when I’ll stop using it and will not place any more personal info on there, pics etc… That's exactly what I did with Facebook, I know they have a database that retains info but I deleted my pictures and won’t use their system again. I just don't like for every other joe nobody on the net to see my pictures/ conversations. The biggest thing I hate about Facebook the most is that you can’t hide you profile picture. After that it would probably be that if someone sends you an invite they can see your posts even when you haven’t accepted them yet. Now that I think about it I think G+ may have the same Profile picture sharing issue… I must check that out… Bottom line, privacy should be default, public sharing, optional… for any online content. Sorry for the rant… |

Personally I have been using Yahoo for emails for over 10 years..never got hacked once :/..I am not saying that Gmail is bad..I just never had a problem with Yahoo..and I get emails with passwords for business related stuff sometimes in my personal email..and don't really feel comfortable with that being parsed for any reason... |
Re: Google Plus
While I enjoy G+, I'm just waiting for Google to ruin it by trying to integrate to many options and feature into....by trying to integrate it into my searches, etc. While I think taking an integrated approach can work and even produce positive results, I worry that Google will just take it too far.

Re: Google Plus
Yeah, I kinda get the feeling that Google may be following in the footsteps of Apple....encouraging and requiring that you must use multiple Google products to get the full benefits of just one.
