Can I play WMA music on Android ? Specifically Optimus.
 

We've upgraded my wife to her first smartphone - Optimus. Like it a lot but there's a bit of a problem. Most of my music is ripped in WMA format - it allows same clarity as the MP3 (which is quite a bit older) at about 60% the file size. However, I couldn't find a single player that plays it. Any suggestions ?

According to LG the devices built in media player can play WMA Files.

Apparently not since 2.2 "upgrade". It doesn't - it shows the files in the queue but never plays them.

There was never a 2.2 upgrade for the Optimus S. It came out with Froyo 2.2 as did all other Optimus phones. The LG site indeed does state that the Optimus S phone plays WMA. My mom has this phone and all my mp3's are converted to WMA so ill be loading moms oldies to it shortly.
