Is it possible to dismiss a Carrier Update permanently???
 
Girlfriend has a Sprint Optimus S... about a week or so back it got an update pushed..

we dont wanna do the update, but its Nagging big time... sometimes every few minutes the Update shows back up..

Any way to get this to disappear for good??

Why don't you want the update? These updates help the phone with battery life, bug fixes and such. You would be better off getting the update than just trying to figure out how to bypass it.

He doesn't want to lose root... anyhow, did you try the battery pull method? Seriously works well.
