[HOW TO] Use keyboard shortcuts on the LG Ally
EDITING
Highlight (Touch the screen where you want to start, hold down the Caps button, and press the arrow button in the direction you want to highlight) what you want to edit. You can edit using the menu that opens when you hold down the OK button in the center of the directional pad. When nothing is highlighted you will be offered Select All, Select Text, Cut all, Paste and Input Method. If your cursor is at the end of a word, that word will be offered in Add “word” to Dictionary at the bottom of these options. If something is highlighted you will be offered Cut, Copy and Paste instead of the "All" options. Menu + X will Cut Menu + C will Copy Menu + V will Paste. NOTE: You must have highlighted text or copied text on the clipboard for the Menu button to work this way. Otherwise, you will open the Menu for whichever App you are using. BROWSER Menu + A will open the Add Bookmarks dialog Menu + B will open your Bookmarks page Menu + D will open your Download History Menu + E will allow you to swipe your finger to select text from a page and add it to the clipboard Menu + F will open Find on Page dialog Menu + H will open History Menu + I will Zoom In Menu + N will open a New page Menu + O will Zoom Out Menu + P will open Page Settings Menu + R will Reload the page Menu + S will open the Share dialog Menu + T will open your list of open windows Menu + W will close the page Spacebar will Page Down Caps + Spacebar will Up Page NOTE: Spacebar and Caps + Spacebar will work in lots of Apps EVEN THE MARKET! Very nice list! Perhaps you can tell me if there is a way to "undo" one of my most hated peeves. While typing, such as here, if you press ALT and then backspace, it will erase an entire line. Although I find this incredibly frustrating (it only ever happens unintentionally for me while fixing typos) is there a key combination that will re-paste the erased line back in?
