HTC Tablet

HTC Files Trademark for Scribe Tablet - Midmarket - News & Reviews - eWeek.com - eWeek Mobile

This is an article on HTC filing for a trademark in U.S on the Scribe Tablet. Wonder what the specs would be and if they would use Tegra or stick with Snapdraggon.

I posted this from my phone, its the moble version site, may only be viewable from a phone.

ITs most likely a Tegra 2..the tablet is not made by HTC either..its made by Pegatron I think and rebranded HTC...

Thanks for the info. I know motorola is coming with a tablet, but will probably be on verizon andthe Galaxy S tab does nothing for me. iPad is o.k but an android tab would be more functional especially after rooted and changed to my needs and made to fit me look wise. This may be a year that a bunch of real android tabs come out, gonna wait it out and do comparisons.

Coming from HTC, I would expect nothing less than a full Sense integration.

Tablets are all the rage at CES right now... Just check out the last few pages of gizmodo or engadget. Everything seems to be priced out of mortal man's price range. Do I want a laptop in the 600.00 range or a slate of some sort for the same price if not more??? I'm not THAT mobile. I'll choose a laptop everytime... Besides... I don't have a hipster bone in me so I don't feel the need to comform to norms set up by other hipsters. iPad is out of the picture for me.

I don't think I would use a tablet that had sense on it.

I agree for the most part. The difference for me is two-fold, however. First, with multiple back surgeries, I should not be carrying a laptop and all the accessories. So I opted for a Samsung Tablet. Now I can access my corporate network, servers, routers, everything, from anywhere. All the while carrying very little with me.

Secondly, I am not a hipster, but I am a technology professional. That means that I inherently like the new technology and typically adapt at a faster rate than most others. And sometimes it's not because I need to, but rather I think it is cool and want it. And when my company supports my habit, well, why would I complain? LOL

My EVO has no Sense on it at all. And if I can clean that up, a tablet can also be done :)

I like Sense on my Evo and go back and forth of having sense and removng sense, can't make up my mind, lol. But on a tablet, I wouldn't want it so would save me time in buying a tablet without it so I don't have to root it as soon as I get it, lol, just lazy plus like to enjoy a device before rooting and getting into the device. For me it is the oposite, a tablet would be toy, no real audio or video editing so its not a work station, just a toy, I need a powerful laptop with a an o.s. and software third party or otherwise that gets the job done. But what we have in common is it your back, and for me carrying a heavy 16.9 inch laptop in a bag hurts my neck and shoulders tha got all messed up in a car crash. So when whatever tablet comes out that can do what I need and is 8-10 inch with dcent resolution for its size and video edit properly and other things, I will so be on it, till then, its a laptop.
