Profiles?
So lately there have been a few profile implementations of profiles from SprintID to Motorola Droid Pro and some apps..
but I was wondering..is there a profile app which is closer to profiles/users like on windows? By that I mean this..looking at a bunch of apps they got access to everything from GPS, to call logs, contacts, to text messages and etc..which is fine..but I personally would like to separate business use and personal use COMPLETELY..aka let the apps have access to all the stuff on my Personal profile..but not have access to my Business Profile stuff... Right now I am using an Epic for personal and TP2 for work..but would like to use 1 device..is there anything that can do this kind of profiling? (and yes I know programs with root will have access to everything regardless..but beside the rooted programs) |
Re: Profiles?
I don't know of any apps that will do that completely across the board although I think it is a good idea. Hell, I can't even find a way to only sync specific groups of contacts, let alone everything else.
The only thing I could think of, which might be more trouble and might not do everything you want it to is set up 2 gmail accounts. Have one sync all of the personal stuff and the other sync all of the business stuff. Then you could switch out the two depending on what you want to use. I don't know how the sync works with text msgs though. Also, I am not too familiar with the Epic, but the Evo has different "scenes" you can select. It seems to be nothing more than changing the shortcuts, widgets, etc on the home screen. |
