New Sense Task Manager?

check out this screen shot from the new Desire HD. The notification bar looks like it might have a task manager built-in

Hmm, looks more like shorcuts to me. The new Sense stuff is sounding interesting though.

Looks similar t what's on my epic.. but I like that one better... hop they can port that over. Mine isn't scrollable or custamizable

so if a manufacturer is putting a task manager into a device, is this, contrary to what the developers say, proof a task manager is a good thing for an android device? I still yet to see a straight answer on this.

I only use ATK just for closing apps that I don't want left open that are lagging my phone (like the Music player for example).

No, it is not proof that it is a good idea. It just means that HTC decided to put one on the device.

In my opinion, reading the different forums, a task manager has caused more issues then it has helped. It is a likely possibility that it is user error but the issues still exists.

I have been running the Desire HD ROM on my HD2 for about 1/2 hour, then I decided to go back to my 100% stable build.

I can restart my phone and check out the notifications/task manager/widgets or anything for a more in-depth look, maybe do a review.

I have to tell you, that new sense is really sweet :)
