Re: UPDATED: HTC "Lexicon", World Phone Headed to Verizon!

I just picked up the Droid 2 on September 11th. With Verizon I know they have a 30 day worry free guarantee, would it be possible for me to pick up a different phone in a couple days, and then pick up the Lexicon before that phones thirty days are up? I only picked up the Droid 2 cause I hadn't even heard rumblings of an HTC slider which I really wanted, having upgraded from a Touch Pro 2 I know how great their keyboards are hah.

So I guess the simple question is, can I use the 30 day guarantee from Verizon to pick this up next month?

Cool. I hope it works, having that keyboard instead of the Droid 2's would be great, it's my only complaint. I'm so tired of having my thumb hit the screen when I'm trying to type on the top row xD.

Also getting away from Moto's tirade against custom kernels sounds pretty pleasant.

I don't like the Lexicon's stock OS. It doesn't have the new Sense features like skinning and the new wallpaper changer, but if you can root it and throw a Desire HD rom on there, you're good to go

of course it will be rooted its an htc device, why even question that?! it will probably be rooted within a week of release and will most likely have the new sense shortly after. i just dont get why people complain about stock os/ui/etc on android when its so easy to change. who cares what it comes with when you can change it within a couple minutes? seems like people just want to complain about something...

because for some phones, rooting cannot be undone (like unlocking the bootloader) and so you cannot get warranty/insurance claims on it, so if the stock OS was awesome, you wouldn't have as much reason to root.

Also, not everyone knows how to root or wants to bother doing it. Personally I root/unlock/jailbreak my device within the first week, but I think HTC really messed up putting the Old Sense on this device when the processor is more than capable of handling the new one.
