I shoulda done this a long time ago...
I became the owner of a Sprint Hero 24 hours ago. I'm still finding new things on it, but the initial impression is wow. Android has impressed me with it's interface and speed and this is on a bone-stock ROM. I plan on changing that soon enough but for now I'm happy. I have a lot to learn with Android, but knowing what I know after spending 4 years with WinMo learning, tweaking, cooking and flashing it is going to be a LOT easier. Look for the 'ol Doc to be out there helping out here for those "making the transition" to Android. Thanks to all the Android geeks here for "helping" me decide to take the plunge.:toothy7:

yep, welcome aboard! I felt the same way on the 12th when my EVO arrived :D I came from a Touch Pro 2 to a pre in March and now android.... pre is slick, very slick but doesn't have the flexibility of android. I love it and sounds like you will too.

Thanks guys! @stuge123 I love it already. Sure I got into problems, HTC sync stopped connecting yesteday. I fixed that with a download of the update. As to the phone and OS I'm blown away at all the little things in Android that WM doesn't do. The Android market kills the WM counterpart and the equivalent apps for Android are usually a LOT cheaper. @ spiritcrusher33 I'm not sitting back. I'm getting in the drivers seat and flooring the gas LOL!
