Carriers do have a MMS limit on the size of received messages but it is not 21kb that my pictures are being reduced to by the Android default messaging app. Still very well worth it to send bigger pictures (those I usually would send to from my TP2 would get 700kb images). I believe the receive limit on most carriers is about 1.2mb or so.

To be honest, I have never used the stock messaging app for MMS. I only ever use it to answer texts while I am installing either Handcent or ChompSMS, because they allow me to customize so much more.

I dont like the bubbles, no matter the color of thee bubble lol. So I stick to the stock app.
