google not in english help.
 

if i type in google.com on my evo it keeps defaulting to some spanish or other foreign language.

even though I never changed it and english is my language

it only does this on the default internet app.

opera is correct

Have you tried clearing cookies? i that does not help, what is your user agent?

you can also click on language tools and set your language in google.com

cleared cahce and cookies and as soon as I go to google.com and its in spanish .

it gives me a option of clicking a link to go to english but it should be that to begin with.

why is it defaulting to spanish?

Click on the english link and reset your home page or search page to that page.

but by default google.com should not be in spanish. I shouldnt have to change anything or click anything

opera doesnt do this , my pc doesnt do this. only thing that does it is the built in browser in Android

i cant be the only one

What is your user agent? it may define the language by user agent.

Well your user agent is different on each browser...

the user agent helps identify information about the browser..here is an example of mine in google chrome:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.1.249.1045 Safari/532.5


notice the "en-US" this tells the website that my language is English..thus the sites can redirect me appropriately

yes I could go to google.com/m?hl=en linked at the bottom of the page but I am from the US and English is my language not spanish.

now opera doesnt do this only with the default browser on the Evo

there was suppose to be a poll but for some reason PPC decided to go tits up

so if you can answer yes or no that'd be great.

I am going to a sprint store to check it also.
