Hey, you asked why I didn't upgrade and I gave you my reasoning...LOL. Just cuz YOU don't happen to think that way, doesn't mean your reasoning is "better."

LOL...I don't use a holster. I put my phone in my pocket, so I either had to give up on a keyboard (to compromise on a longer/taller phone) or keep the touch pro. In fact, the only complaint I had about my Mogul (when I had it) was the fact that it was still a little big for my tastes.

The only reasons I'm considering the EVO are 1) 4G and 2) Android. The size and no qwerty would normally be an issue for me, but considering it's thinner than all the phones I've had, it's a compromise.

Went from a Touch Pro to the Moment a couple months back. I don't miss WM at all. Only thing I wish is more development of roms and tweaks and such.

Re: Windows Mobile ---> Android: Who has made the switch?

why hasn't anyone mentioned the fact that andriod has a problem with copy/paste? I made the move from an imagio (terrible device, but WM 6.5/sense was great), to the inc. I love the change but I am still learning and reading about linux, etc. I have tried some of the copy/paste programs out there, but i can't figure out what to do with them! i can't understand why the base froyo OS doesn't allow touch and hold copy/paste in any field/ap like in WM. It feels limited to me in this area. Copy/paste seems to be a function built into each individual app, not into the froyo/droid OS. Some apps allow you to move text with share, but i need to select the info I need to move, not necc. everything. Is my understanding correct in this? I keep searching and reading and I can't find anyone addressing this, am I missing something? I also really miss the ease of moving from one feature to another in WM, such as getting from sms to email, to contacts etc with one swipe or menu list. Is there a way to add/customize froyo menu's or add/costomize touch and hold menu's in froyo/driod?
Thanks

Re: Windows Mobile ---> Android: Who has made the switch?

Actually I didn't switch; I opted for both devices. With my HTC HD2, WinMo 6.5 [hoping for the 7 upgrade], I am able to do everything that I'd do on my laptop within my college environment and for my online business; so, this phone is awesome. Having the ability to tether, with T-Mobile for free is the key. I also have the Galaxy S Sumsung Vibrant and it's my "social device" and I sold my iPhone to acquire this device and haven't looked back. So, each device has it's own realm of operation. In my opinion just make sure whatever device you acquire it suits your needs; if not, then you may want to come to T-Mobile. Purchase one smart phone and get the other free (of equal or lessor value Unsupported Browser).

Me.... I have gotten past the loss of Pocket Quicken (Replaced with ClearCheckbook.com) I even got past Swype (Replaced with SlideIT) But I am having a hard time with installing programs to the SD card. I rooted the phone, but I am told I need to partition the sd card a special way and not being able to accomplish this has gotten me frustrated. But like I was with WM and the TP and TP2, I will learn to flash what I want into the phone and leave out what I don't need. It just seems real hard to accomplish this on the android and it was so easy on the TP2. That and the battery is the pits, but I bought a spare and a desktop charger that will charge both the phone and the spare so I will have 2 full charge batteries in the morning. I like the phone, but I loved the TP2. I just wanted to try the Android (HTC Desire, USCC only had that and the Acclaim) I went to eBay and paid cash so I wouldn't have to extend my contract. By Christmas they are suppose to have 5 more Android phones. But I am not crazy enough about this phone enough to sell the TP2. I may still go back to it and sell the Desire.

Copy and paste works fine for me. The only problem with it is that the method of copy and paste changes in the gmail. But it still works. WM did have a great copy and paste feature but they have gone back in time and quality when it comes to copy and paste on wp7 since it will not have that feature on release date. I don't understand how an os that is suppose to be a so called game changer is missing such an important feature. As of now android has my vote over any other os.

Re: Windows Mobile ---> Android: Who has made the switch?

Wow, I also did not know that Android has a copy/paste problem. I copy/paste every single day multiple times a day in emails. I also do it in spread sheets and word type documents.
