Wishlist for my first Android phone
I was going to take the leap and buy a DROID, but I decided to wait for the next generation of Android phones in 2010.
Below describes my DREAM device that I am holding out for. If a model dangerously close to these specs doesn't arise by April 2010, I will just destroy my current phone (Vogue) and use two Dixie cups and some string when placing calls. I am sure to have a VERY cheap calling plan and NO roaming charges! :geek: __________________________________________________ _____ Brand: HTC Service Provider: Verizon or Sprint Expected;Release-Date: January, 2010 Project Codename: HTC Friggin' Awesome Dimensions: Same as the Moto DROID, but as sexy as the ERIS Operating System: Google Android 2.1 Microprocessor: Chipset CPU+Clock: 1000 MHz CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 Memory Storage:capacity RAM capacity: 512 MiB ROM capacity: 512 MiB Display Diagonal: 4.0" Display Resolution: 480 x 800 Microphone(s): stereo Loudspeaker(s): stereo Audio Output: 3.5mm Cellular Networks: CDMA + GSM (for awesomeness) Call Alert: Audio or Video Vibrating Alert: Supported Speakerphone: Supported Control Peripherals Positioning Device: Multi-touch screen Primary Keyboard: SLIDE & TILT FULL QWERTY (uber slim) Directional Pad: on QWERTY keyboard Scroll Wheel: Supported Interfaces Expansion:Slots: microSD USB: USB 2.0 Bluetooth: Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Wireless-LAN: 802.11b+g+n Infrared-Gate: Supported Analog+Radio;Receiver: FM radio Built-in_GPS-module: Supported + Assisted GPS, QuickGPS, Geotagging Main Camera: 5.0 MP Autofocus: Supported Optical Zoom: 2 x Macro Mode: Supported Built-in+Flash: mobile light (LED) Secondary Camera: Front facing camera for 2-way video calls Accelerometer: Supported Battery Capacity: 2400 mAh (uber slim) __________________________________________________ _____ |

:---) I actually get about 3 days standby or 1 full day of talk time on a single charge. Running Android on this old Vogue has actually been a blessing to my phone. BUT... i don't have data on and that helps ALOT! |
