Re: HD2 gets spec boost for US
wow, that's tempting. but i think i will just upgrade in a year. The HD2 is the bottom of the barrel in terms of what WM7 is capable of. (meanwhile i will pray that we see a TP3 on sprint )

Well I hope we see a Touch Pro 3 announced soon. Or something similar to that HD2 but with a keyboard and tilting screen...

When Microsoft releases an official 6.5.3 ROM, if there is a memory leak, then we can talk about it. |
Re: HD2 gets spec boost for US
Personally, I'm eyeing up a switch from Sprint to T-Mobile and getting that sweet beefed up HD 2. The "HD class" usually has the biggest screen of devices released around the same time. The Obsession (Diamond 3) has a smaller screen, so any "Touch Pro 3" is likely going to have a smaller screen too.
Something else to consider, is that the Obession and any TP3 will likely be WM 7 devices, so they won't release till late 2010 at the earliest. The HD 2 will be on T-Mobile this Spring and may provide an upgrade path to WM 7. And personally, I don't want to jump right into WM 7 shortly after it comes out. Given WM 7 may not support older WM apps, I want to see how WM 7 does with regular users for a good while and also see how its available apps grow, before moving to it. I'd much rather move to WM 7 after its list of apps is a little built up. |
