I think that that was only tested with the 6.5.1 ROM, not this one...

I had to uncheck 'advanced network functionality' in Settings // Connections // USB to PC

Syncs every time now.

i see that it is checked but i cant uncheck it, it just beeps when i try to uncheck it

Plug in, go through the Palm PC Setup (should launch automatically). If it's like my W7 computer, nothing happens. Just hit "cancel" and it will warn you that it hasn't finished setting up, blah blah.

The next screen then says it is switching to "Sync Mode" now. I think I then soft-reset the phone and rebooted the computer and it connected back to WMDC.

And you're right--the PC Sync icon is missing, so you can't change it manually. But if you walk through the steps above it should work.

Edit: RealVga seems to work fine...although some of texts gets cut off and some of the graphics don't display properly. will post post pics up in a while
