1st, to enter bootloader, take back cover off fone. place ur fone face down in the palm of ur hand. with the hand ur holding the fone with, use ur middle finger to press and hold the camera button. then use ur index finger to press and hold the power button. with ur other hand, while holding both buttons down, use ur stylus to press the reset button(reset button is the little hole next to where the stylus is kept) press all three buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds, then depress the reset button only. continue to hold the camera+power buttons until the red blue green screen comes on.

edit: actually, mine's just a tad different. when i run PANTHER_CDMA_HSPL exe or SSPL-Manual-PantherCDMA.exe (on the device), the tri-color screen's version is SPL-0.32. But when I do the camera button/power button bootloader thing, the tri-color screen's version is SPL-0.37.

edit: just installed WMDC on my thinkpad t61p / win7 x64, ran PANTHER_CDMA_HSPL exe, and it frickin' worked first time! weird!!

I am having the exact same problem you were having in your second edit. Where did you install the WMDC from?

OK BIG BIG BIG BIG PROBLEM

I got my phone to unlock apparently but it keeps going back to the tri-colored screen then the Grey screen and Updates. Its done this sequence over and over and over again for at least the past 15 minutes. Whats wrong? Did I just mess up my phone? I have tried a soft reset which did not work. Help ASAP

edit: I have also pulled the battery out and when i put it back in it countinues to do the same thing. HELP

edit: Somehow I got it to stay on the tri-colored screen and it says
PANT200
SPL-0.36. CMONEX
CPLD-2


Upgrade Rom code Error
PLease Try again

What should I do?

dont worry my phone did this too for some reason, just pull your battery when yourphone resets. then hold the red button and put battery in

Sir, that got me a lot further than I have been getting. After I do that it asked me to erase all data. I say yes and it continues to cycle throught the same screens I listed above. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

do u have an sd card with a PANTIMG.nbh file on it?? if so, take the sd card out ur fone and soft reset(remove battery and reinsert battery).

I highly appreciate the help you guys are giving me and if its ever possible I will return the favor, if funds become availible. Furthermore I pulled out the SD card so now I just have a tri colored screen that says

flash a custom rom...ur unlocked so ur good to go
there's like 5 or 6 available here.

just flash your phone back to stock with this file here, it will still keep your hard spl so dont worry. You can just plug your phone into usb while in tri-color bootmode and run the skywriter.exe file i just linked you to. i promise that should be your last step lol, but i have gone through this exact same scenario you have when i first started so dont worry

Thanks, im downloading the skywritier.exe file now. I will let you know the outcome. Thanks man.
