I'm on Telus up here in Canada... I wanna try this, but if I dont like it... how can I ever go back to my original OS?

I've got the same question. I saw earlier in this thread that you "just reflash the stock rom". But, where do I get the image of the stock rom?

I'm hoping someone will post a detailed how-to for all this. Right now it isn't all that user friendly. Example: is the "Panther hard spl" the same thing as the unlocker?

Yes, Hard-SPL unlocks your machine to make it flashable :).
I don't think there has ever been any Bell/Telus Treo Pro ROM's leaked.. If you want to go back to 6.1, you can just flash CFay's 6.1 rom on your machine.. It'll just lack the bloatware and slight modifications that your carrier does to your stock ROM.

When he said 'reflash the stock rom' he was speaking to the people's carriers that have released a carrier specific rom...

Sounds good to me... Where can i get the stock 6.1 ROM from?? Just in case you know :P

No idea, to be honest, maybe you could ask your carrier's tech support.. I don't even know how they get it in the first place...

Is it hard to revert back to 6.1?? using a custom 6.1 ROM by cfay?


Isnt there a way to just dump your own stock rom and rewrite it back? Like im a complete noob but im sure that could be done.

If you try a custom ROM and don't like it you can always go back to the original 1.04 oem version. Here is all the info you need:

However this is a SPRINT rom...and I think flash67 is on 'Telus' ...not aware of the implications of that combo...but there are numerous threads related to flashing the 1.04 rom update elsewhere.

Really curious about being able to load a stock Telus treo pro rom after I flash it....

And will most of my apps still be compatible with windows mobile 6.5 now??
