Hi,

Just installed this ROM after using ICON's for months, and generally like it. Well done. I have run into a couple of problems when I switched to 96dpi:

1. The icons at the top of the screen form telephone signal and network connection have disappeared. When I click the top menu bar, there is a 1/2 inch dropdown accross the top, but it is empty!

2. The screen keyboard is AWOL. I tap on the bottom where the icon for the on-screen keyboard should be (there is no icon there) and I get a 1 inch popup accross the bottom of the screen, right where the on-screen keyboard should be, but there is no onscreen keyboard.

I reflashed and rebooted, but that does not solve the problem. I have no idea what registry keys, services or apps control these features. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Which ROM are you using? I just tested on my 23130 RealVGA ROM and both issues you described were not present...Thank you :)

Sorry I'm a newbie here. But I have the newest ROM downloaded on my phone now, but want to return it to the original 6.1. How would I do so?

you want to return to my 6.1 ROM or stock 6.1 ROM? Either way just download what ROM you want and run the update utility with your phone synced to activsync

I am using the 8/19 version of your ROM. However, I went to 96dpi by using Sprite to restore my OS, software and settings from ICON ROM. The problems might go away if I rebuild my OS and software piece by piece starting with your ROM and running the cab's for all my added software (e.g. quick menu, magic keyboard, etc.), but that is hours (days?) of work to get everything tweaked the way I like it. Wondering if you might have any idea as to why the items might have disappeared from the top menu or the popup keyboard. If not, then I have to decide whether these things are worth the time for an item by item rebuild, or if I should just go back to ICON. Thanks for all the help you provide to all the users. It is really appreciated.

you are correct... sprite backups do not play nice between windows builds and for the most part across custom ROMS... :( sorry

Hi there i am a newbie like you ROM RR 23130 RealVGA the only problem i have the wait cursor keep spinning like something is running but I check task manager and nothing is running it just keep spinning in almost screen i am. any fix for this the I miss.

have you switched to 96DPI in the realVGA menu? im pretty sure thats your problem

yeah that fixed :) but i really like 128 DPI any way to be on 128DPI and have the cursor fix.... Best ROM around great Job Happy to DONATE.
