Have to disagree, have used them both extensively and found the chainfire to be smoother and no worse or better in battery life. I ran x2 for 2 days, but was having horrible lag on my weather animation as well as google maps and garmin were very sluggish. Reflashed same build but with chainfire and my sluggishness went away and as of now, i have 82% battery left after 16 hours off the charger. I use activesync, imap (updates every 10 minutes) my location, and at least 25-30 text's and 30 minutes of voice calls. If thats bad battery consumption......

I'm always interested in these kind of theme-tweaks because the dark colors save so much battery.
[PRJ]ovi's WinDroid Project

black only saves power on OLED screens.. ours are LED backlit... The power used to flip LCDs is very tiny, and it actually takes power to make black. The higher the voltage the blacker.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-27 ][ v1.6 RC ][28232 / 23541 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kit

Is there a way to use a custom wallpaper ONLY for the default lockscreen? If not, what screen locking package/program should I cook in so I can do so? Does Smartlock allow for custom wallpaper?

The problem is the wallpaper I like does not do well with the manila tabs so it can really only be used on the lockscreen...

Having the Cookie Home tab cooked in seems to have fixed my issue with exchange security policy being applied.

Thanks for adding this into the mix Calkulin.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-27 ][ v1.6 RC ][28232 / 23541 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kit

Is anyone using the new Swype version cooked in? And if you are, are there any data connection issues like here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=111383

Also. Is cooking the programs, like Cookie's Home Tab into the ROM make it faster than installing it separately? And if it's cooked in, can you update it later individually or have to wait for another ROM update with it cooked in?

Swype works just fine for me, no issues in any app. Also I like to cook things in because it seems to come out a bit slimmer and you can update with a cab later as far as I know, or I should say I have on any program I tried. Seems the ROMs come faster than the apps anyways.
