Thanks for the help guys.
Is there a place where I can find other backgrounds to cook into my ROM?
This folder:
..\Desktop\ROMs\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 R3\EXT\Shared\Packages

...looks like where I'd put them, but not sure. The one folder in there for the flamerise wallpaper, doesn't have anything in it...
?

Hmm, I used the package I got from this thread and don't have the watermarks, although when I look at the Software info it still says 23548, so I'm not sure what was posted was really 23549(the directorynames do say 23549 tho). Was i23549 posted twice?

I actually have 3 versions that I downloaded. 23549.rar, 23549.7z and 23549_for_VK.7z (the last 2 are the same). The rar is 47.5MB, others are both 32.5.

I checked some dsm/rgu timestamps and it looks like the one I used was 23549.7z - not the rar (so I think I mis-spoke a couple pages back)

Version shows as 5.2.23548 (Build 23549.5.5.0).

a simple edit of the dsm file located in msxipkernel will correct the discrepancy

there is a .dsm editor in the the tools folder

Has anyone tried the new radio stack from the official 6.5 Sprint release with Calkulin's kitchen? Is there improvement in some sense from the new radio? better battery? better reception? Is there an easy way to install the new radio stack yet?
Just curious.

Funny you ask, I flashed to the latest Sprint ROM for an hour or so and apparently when you flash stock it keeps the radio if you continue to flash custom, so to answer your question just go to stock then back to what you want, new radio stays in tact. As far as quality of radio, I didnt even know i was using it for 4 days, soooo cant say that I notice a difference. just my experience though

Don't know about performance yet.

I flashed the new stock, then next day back to custom. Like all Stocks and ROMs over the last several years, the new radio stays.

In regards to the new Sprint 6.5 Radio update, been running it since the 19th and using my phone running Pandora, talking, texting and moderate surfing, and have had the phone last a substantial amount of time longer on a single charge than last week before the update. So, so far so good
