Ok so is there anyway to disable ALL the new sense menus, i mean EVERYTHING "fancy" (and coincidentally grey and extremely dull even compared to WinMo's defaults) like the new call history, the new messaging, new contacts etc. etc.
IMO they're just slow and ugly. It's at the point that if I could find a decent Titanium Weather plugin, I'd just bail from Sense completely.

For the record I already have links to the old tmail for sms and the old poutlook for contacts, but i'm sick of the new sense ones coming up when i click something by accident.

I am totally with you. Here are the solutions.

1) Weather : Download Home Screen customizer from windows marketplace. Really slick tool. Add weather, people, reorder item, delete items etc

2) To change to default windows menus - here is the registry entry

Registry:HKLM>Software>HTC>HTCMenus>EnableManilaCh eck>dword:1

Reboot not required.

Go into the baseapps folder, and tell me if you see a shortcut called addrbook.lnk. If you have your PC set to hide known extensions, it might just be addrbook, but will obviously be a shortcut.

Also, check your search options, and make sure it's checked to search system files and stuff..

ok in the sys/shared/common folder i go to baseapps and look for that but i dont see it...

i do have it checked to search sustem files tho.. i dont know

i have edited .dat files before and renamed files to go into folders.. but no luck with this...

yes i do get results... i get that file

i try .Ink and i get nothing

I get the same thing...I see addbk shortcut but I get no results for .Ink
