No, the one I linked to is different, but that looks like it will do what you want, too. The one in my link doesn't have a GUI.

Ok well I've kinda figured out the one you linked, oh yeah thanks for telling me it will not convert if there is a space in the file name!!! I was like WTF!! Ok so if you don't mind just a question or two...

I used the third option in the readme.txt ("Effect: Mass conversion of cabs directly to the new kitchen"), or was I suppose to do all three?

Once converted, am I suppose to change the packages.txt or will it add to it on its on?

Sorry 3 questions... Do I have to follow the naming system(ex. Multimedia - YouTube X.X.X or is that just for organization purposes?

Thanks

Re-downloaded the kitchen twice. No errors on extraction and I still get the Tweaks.cab error. I've even flashed stock in between building. I tried so many different builds and consistently get the error.

I'm putting 21893 into the Beta2 kitchen and see how it goes. I just can't imagine what is causing the error.

Here's what I've concluded ... it is something in the SYS. I put 21893 in the Beta2 kitchen and still got the tweaks.cab error. So, I rebuilt with 21892 in the same kitchen with the same stuff and it boots and runs fine. I'm just going to give up on 21893 for now. Maybe tomorrow I will re-download the RC kitchen and put 21892 in it and see what it does. This just seems over my head right now. :(

Thanks to everyone who had an idea, though. I appreciate it.

My results also say that 21893 is the problem. I put 21890 in 1.6RC 2 and it booted fine.

I copied over the 21892 SYS/XIP from the RC1 kitchen and built a rom with otherwise identical package selection. This boots without issue, so I'd have to agree it's a problem in 21893.

Something is definitely wrong with 21893....I'm still running beta 2, I added 21983 from RC2 and I get the Error pointing to Calkulins Touch Pro2 Tweaks.cab. With 21892 it ran perfect.

You can name the folder whatever you like but the naming does do two things:
- organize
- and order certain items so they overwrite a main EXT (ie. Manila and Manila Options)

Here is how I have organize mine in the EXT folder:

Quote:

..\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 RC 2\EXT\Shared\1Packages_Private (my stash, keep out!)
..\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 RC 2\EXT\Shared\Packages (calc's stuff)
..\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 RC 2\EXT\Shared\Packages_MS3 (mobile shell)
..\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 RC 2\EXT\Shared\Packages_Sense_2.5 (Sense 2.5 stash)
..\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 RC 2\EXT\Shared\Packages_zdon (my EXT's stuff)
..\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6 RC 2\EXT\Shared\Packages_zSense_2.1 (sense 2.1 stuff)
1. This keeps me organized.
2. I can keep my Packages_zdon seperate and will overwrite any regular EXT's and Sense_2.5 EXT's.
3. Keeps the Sense_2.1 packages out of my way...

Very good observation sc00b4s7eve!

Can someone help me create a .cab file the will delete windows\start menu then copy over the start menu I have saved (in the cab I want to create). Doesn't seem like it would be that hard if only I knew what I was doing.

I know how you feel. I have to do so many things post-flash because I don't know enough about this stuff to do it in the kitchen. Heck, I bought winCE cab manager and I have no idea how to even use it!!

RC3 will be up shortly, fixed 21893, added Co0kie Home Tab, big dialer in 6.5.x, dirty rain mod and a couple of other things. Mostly I think this kitchen is done, so pending any major issues or new SYS popping up, this will be the final version
