I pushed the softkey talk button and it looked like the phone# I typed in just dissappeared. However the call continued but was unable to end the call with either soft or hard end buttons. The seccont time I tried using the hard talk key and it showed "Assisted Dialing next to the phone# in the status screen. Also the soft end key didn't work.
I thought I remember something about removing assisted dialing. Could this be the cause.
Hope Calk can chime it.

UPDATE: Remove assisteddialing.dll folder from both 23540/28232 SYS\Build\SHARED\COMMON.
This should do the trick. Building now...

Let me know how it goes. What exactly does assisteddialing.dll do?

Testing done and dialer is now working properly!
1.6RC Dialer fix http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=4604

EDIT: Woops I jumped the gun. $hit!
Talk(soft) button works 75% of the time, but the end button(soft and hard) doesn't end the call the soft talk button initiated.
I am going to try an older dialer EXT.

i believe its always been that way. when i have cooked in the no arrows in the past the qwerty doesnt have arrows but when you switch to say the numbers the arrows show up, thats why they would have the same graphics. im away from my laptop right now but going off of memory i think thats the answer

Hopefully a fix gets found. I just configured a rom for my brother and he's got this problem. I hope I don't need to build a kitchen again.

Go ahead and remove the above folder - it shouldnt be there.

I also noticed that Phone - PhoneCanvas 3.40.1920.2715 has been moved from EXT\Shared\Packages to EXT\Touch_Pro2\6.5.x since 1.5RC which was the last kitchen I used when the dialer was working.

icon123 - Please try moving the Phone Dialer package(above) to the EXT\Shared\Packages folder and test.
I will try the 1.5RC dialer and we can compare.

Moving the EXT from one place to another won't do anything but using the older dialer will probably work.

Froader, unless I'm missing something, I don't think that will make a difference. It doesn't matter where in ext the files are located as long as they get included (within reason).

Unless they are in an order where another EXT overwrites this one.
I will post back with the results of using the 1.5RC dialer.

What is the last working dialer that everyone has used successfully?

Just tested the 1.5RC dialer in the original location of the 1.6RC kitchen.

Seems like every other time I can dial with the soft talk key.
Also the end key is working.

What else could this be. it's annoying because everything in the rom I built is working.

I hear ya. I had a sweet rom going. I usually don't run into problems like these with the kitchen so I'm not really sure what the problem can be. But some are reporting that its working for them, so I don't know. I would try to import an old sys and try that.

Well I was playing with NRGz ROM the other day and when the QWERTY came up it had arrows at the bottom. I assume that's what the arrows and no arrows does, but maybe not.
