Didn't see a response to the Groovefish issue with 1.5RC kitchen, has anyone else tried using it and had problems (or maybe, has anyone used it with no problems)? It launches, but when I try to search for an artist, it basically gets in a very wedged state, and I need to softreset the phone.

no issues for me. i usually just search for the name of the song.

There actually is a cab fix for that issue. Let me know if this helps... I found it somewhere on ppcgeeks, I forgot where.

No prob. I ran with 2.5 for a while, but don't care for all the clutter on the homescreen as well as the HTC messaging. Using the older messaging hack wasn't that great on loading Manila.
I've jumped over to 23519, hoping for some better threaded e-mail. First build got the error on boot saying to see HTCLOG?... EDIT: Had to add Flamerize to the new SYS. All good now!!!!
I am using Phone Redist exacly from Calc's 23518. Wish me luck.

Using Calc's 23518 PhoneRedist EDIT: just found out it causes messages not to open, even creating new ones.
This whole HTC dialer deal is frustrating me. Does Calc change around some of the SYS in this department?


EDIT: Just built a 23518 ROM with 1.5RC and cant get messaging to work. Cant open or create a message. Last working ROM I used was from the 1.4 kitchen. Any word Mikee4fun?

Yes I believe Calc does. I been patching and painting all day. I will have a working 23519 in here later this evening. =)

howdy guys.

i'm new here. i just cooked my first rom with caulkin's kitchen. i'm getting some of the same lock up problems as some of the other posters (scrolling in my sd card with file explorer). i'm currently using pp 12. was thinking perhaps a higher page pool would help?

also. i was getting this exact same issue with the rom i tried awhile back.

any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have had zero lockups running 23518 SYS at 16MB PP

Chances are you have a cab or ext package that is causing issues

that would make perfect sense if....i didn't get the exact same issues from the caukin rom i tried a couple of weeks ago. it did the exact same thing out of the box.

i think i'm going to up the pp to 16 (currently using only 12) and test it.

that being said. are they're any known issues with any particular cabs or ext addons that could help me?

24001 for VK...

no dialer issues / no office 2010 (although its not hard to add it from older sys) / no threaded email / voice command added from 28217...

better layout of MS menus and silky smooth response (so far)

I forgot the rgu that needs to be modified to remove the beta watermark. Can anyone chime in here and let me know.
