im getting a corrupted ringer issue with beta2.. not sure if its something i loaded but i didnt have the problem with the 1st beta

I do not have those issues on either beta kitchens. I use my own custom ring tones baked in. =)

can anyone comment on the "performance" upgrades of the new 1.5 beta?

I've been happily running 23518 from the previous 1.4 kitchen. Is it really that fast and is the battery life that much more noticeble?

Just wanted to hear some comments about 1.5 vs 1.4 before I take reflash.

I built a 6.5.x/2.5/23518 ROM and noticed in beta 2 that the POWER setting screen(where you set the backlight duration and such) has reverted back to an old version with a Manila 2.1/WM6.1 style & look. It doesn't seem to be the HTC "styled" version like in kitchen 1.4. Was this intended?

Also on that note, after first boot and load, the timing on the backlight dim and screen off are not what they say in the POWER settings. The POWER settings say 30secs to dim and 1 minute to turn off screen. However, when I time it, it's 15 seconds to dim and 45 to turn off the screen. To fix it I had to change the settings to something else, save and then set them back to 30sec/1min and then they were fine.

Another issue I'm seeing is that the alert sounds/vibrations that I set within Start|Settings|Sound&Notifications do NOT correspond with what I see in the HTC Sense Setting screen for Sound & Display|Notifications Sounds. They both show somthing different and when I set a sound in one spot, it turns it off or shows a different sound in the other spot. For instance, in using the Sense settings to change my email sounds. I set it to Alert Shine. When I goto Start|Settings|Sound&Notifications, it shows that play sound as UNCHECKED and the sound as Alarm1. When I check the play sound box and set the sound to Alert-Shine in the Start menu settings, it shows email notifications as turn OFF in HTC Sense.

I have Attempted This and have not been able to achieve looked all over and can't find instructions. Could you be so kind as to provide your EXT for adding custom ring and setting for first boot?

I believe this version has a bug where the Location Service does not function fully. e.g With 3.3.1 cooked vs 3.2.1 When i open GM without GPS checked it will still show my location based on cell towers instantly. With 3.3.1 this feature does not work, at least for the EXT i used, so if anyone can tell me otherwise I will try out your EXT on next build.

Worked fine for me on your 1.33, 1.4 and 1.5 beta 1 and 2, I had this already just used package creator and imported the swype cab i have worked great, compared to the EXT posted and is the same thing. P.S i am build 23518
