What needs to be checked for WiFi to function? Mine is greyed out in my 21888 build.

the easiest way is to ask around for the location of that seeting in the registry or searching for a keyword. For example, if you want to change the manila search bar link from m.google.com to www.google.com, you would search for "m.google.com" and you will find an entry that controls exactly that.

Use a tool like ceregeditor. it installs on your pc. you can use it to search your device's registry, and export, or import registry files w/ it.

I cook in XDA_UC. It runs at second boot and installs all my cabs, and my provisioning xmls and reg files. CeRegEditor will export a reg entry you found, into an rgu. Create an EXT package or copy and paste the exported reg content into an app.dat in the kitchen. Build, flash, and done. I recommend making your own EXT package and name it ZZZ-<package name>. This way you know it's last and the values it creates will not be overwritten.

God speed. ;)

That's good advice. Do you know how to use XDA_UC to copy over files. I want to copy over ring tones and notifications and then run the reg that sets them up. According to the information I read, XDA_UC runs the reg before it would copy files, so that might not work out so well. I currently use Sashimi to do this and although it works well, I want to move to XDA_UC.

i wanted to try vista... im back to XP since i had to replace my hard drive. i would like to go to 7 but this laptop is old... not wasting time on it.. it can handle it cause i ran the test but im sure it will make it slow.

my girl is a computer tech ( she is on the forum too) so its easy to get things cheap... later on im going to build a desktop and that will have it all.

Did you run automatic updates with the "Custom" interface so you can add .Net 3.5 and a whole bunch of stuff. Some stuff is not manditory and will not be added. Also Service Pack 3 etc. Takes forever to rebuild an XP machine and bring it fully up to date.

What are you looking for? I got all the kitchens and a PC dedicated to flashing and cooking. I could cook what you want and host it on my site, have done that for others. Not sure what the original issue is.

Instead cook with the "Carrier - All" EXT. It will let you setup Verizon after first boot.

Thanks for answering that, I didn't even see it.

Assuming the verizon.cab in the 'carrier - all' ext is not the same as the 'carrier-verizon' one, it should work and that would be the easiest way of fixing it. I attached the zip file of the 'carrier-verizon' ext from the 1.33 kitchen that I am using. Just delete the location you mentioned in your post and replace it with the one in the zip file.

To get previous kitchens downloaded, go to the download link for the newest kitchen and there should be a link, I think it was in the top left of the screen, to view other downloads from Calkulin.

BTW - if someone could let Calkulin know about the verizon ext problem so he can fix it in the next round, that would be great.
