That's not an official HTC release. HTCpedia is a 3rd party site, just like PPCGeeks/WMExperts.

It's basically a custom/hacked version of the Sense 2.5 that works in landscape. One of their chef's made it.

Not saying it's not cool, just pointing out there is nothing 'official" about it and says nothing of a qwerty HD2 ;-)

I get stuck on the boot screen when using this kitchen and rom. However I think I might be using the wrong sys version for my settings. I tried 28011 initially. Which sys version should I use if I want WinMo 6.1 and Manilla 2.5 with the weather animations? Thanks for any help.

As for the SMS problems, try disabling the HTC Messaging Client. Message enhancement is ok to use

Thanks I got it working! Is there a cab or Package in the kitchen that will enable the Manilla Start Menu instead of the Windows one? I searched the thread but did not find anything.

Also for some reason none of the favorites buttons assigned to contacts work. They act like they are being pressed visually but they do not call the favorite's number.

Edit - its not favorites, its all contact calling methods in sense 2.5. If I click any phone number stored on my phone on any page with a stored contact, it does not do anything other than the graphical press. Calling contacts does work when calling from a Windows mobile screen, such as more information on a contact, but my contacts are broken in manilla 2.5.

yes there is an option for the manila start menu in the kitchen and did you cook in htc phone canvas (another option in the kitchen), that is required for dialing in manila.
