i'm not to sure what you mean by edit the app.reg? i'm going to cook the manilla engine in and add the dword 0, but what do you mean by edit the app.reg?

any chance you can throw in a Windows Mobile 6.5.1 build in there to compare to the newer 6.5.5, it would be much appreciated because i know how intricate it is to incorporate these builds into the kitchen.

I've tried but the keyboard input options pop-up "feature" in 28000 builds somehow leaks into bug free 6.5.1 builds (i.e 23000 builds) and then im back where i started but a few steps back :)

Well, if you browse EXT/Shared/Manila Engine/ you'll see he app.reg there that you can edit

Because default is set to Enabled:1 which means HTC Sense will try and load if you cook the engine in.

OK, finally figured it out!

For the Menu Enhancement to work with or without Manila.

#1. Menu Enhancement MUST be cooked in.
#2. HTC Scroll v1 MUST be cooked in. (Some OEM/EXTs of the Menu Enhancement comes with HTC Scroll already in them. Calk's does not.)
#3. It is not dependent on Manila at all, Both the Engine and Manila can be left out.
#4. For it to work without Manila, you must have the Registry Key HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCMenus\EnableManilaCheck set to 0 (DWORD). It will most likely not be there, so you will have to create this key. You can also edit the app.reg in the EXT to achieve this. (Some OEMs come with this registry key set to 0 already. Calk's does not.)

I am a WM 6.1 Fan , there is nothing faster than it , so I cooked a wm6.1 and guess what ........even calkulin wont believe the speed I am getting , core player now can play HD videos like charm , I changed some files in the manila and make it HD background , and the speed and performance are unbelievable ....
I do not know what you guys want from 6.5 ? and why you like it ......it is SLOOOOWWW like a turtle compared to the WM6.1.

this kitchen is a charm.
there are too many 6.5 kitchens , but too little GOOD 6.1 there.
