PPCGeeks - [ Kitchen ][ 3-5 ][ v1.6 R3 ][28232 / 23542 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen

I know about the issues with V3.3.x. For me no versions of GoogleMaps 3.2.1, 3.3.1 or 3.3.2 can get ANY "tower lock" at all. Where ALL 3 versions will lock on Energy ROM or Stock ROM. But 3.3.x gets a very poor lock and 3.2.1 gets a good lock.

I have not tried your most recent kitchen yet and that's why I was asking. Couple other folks saw the same issue. I'm sure every one understands the subtle issue. GPS works fine. Although without a good tower lock GPS lock is terribly slow.

I've never had any issues with triangulation beside when running v3.3+, as soon I open Google Maps, it's shows exactly where I am

all i can say is i have it working, and i use it everyday including right now as i'm typing this message. google maps v. 3.2.1 towerlock, 1100 meters

calkulin do i need manilla .exe or actual manilla files? the reason i ask is because with nrg's rom it is a titanium only rom and the menu enhancements are working the rom is located here, any help is appreciated.

Thanks for confirming.

Maybe it's a PRL issue and it works for some people and not others.

Or in certain parts of the country there are some IP addresses that are maybe different in the regisrty.

I did try PRL updates and it didn't fix it.

Just flashed a really plain 6.1 ROM with no manila and it still works for me, so your issue is something else

As of right now, I just got my first TP2 today, so I won't be flashing for a day or two!! On my Touch Pro, I only run COM2 Builds w/ Sense 2.1 or Sense 2.5.
