Re: [ Kitchen ][ 12-1 ][ v1.1 ][ 6.5.3 \ 6.5 \ 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitchen

Noob question.
How do I remove the three quick tabs for adding programs from the home screen.
Basically I am looking for a clean home screen without the shortcut to pull up the quick programs.

Also how can I enable the task manager on home screen.

I am using the following ROM
Calkulin's Touch Pro2 28005 Manila 2.5 ROM v1.1

Thanks

Sounds to me like you need to use 2.1 then. And there is more than 3, scroll the screen up from the bottom, there is more.

CRC errors fixed.

Anyone chime in on whether this build has this keyboard button problem?

in which you pull up the virtual HTC keyboard SIP but then have a hard time lowering it unless you click slightly to the left of the center of the button.

I also noticed it has a placing where if you press to the right a little more it give you the SIP options, where as in build 23506 it only brought up and down the keyboard, and you could select SIP options in /Options DIR which makes sense

Not So Ninja Edit!! also I've been wondering where that elegant Microsoft keyboard is at. I thought it was in 28005 but then thought it must've been 28002. Its a finger friendly darker stock microsoft keyboard for 6.5.3.

I agree 3.3 is worse. I don't think I ever cooked one in but that should not matter. It may depend on the ROM and Provider. I tried all day, every combination I could think of. As soon as I used Engery ROM both versions google worked (except 3.3 was worse).

Sorry all.. Doing too many things at one time. Oh and I won't slam the cupboard doors on the way in!

Not to pull Calkulin's good customers away but Energy has 28008 now and I really love it.

So what's the difference between 28005 and 28008?

Not that I know of but its very easy....you take the 28008 folder from the SYS folder and place it into the SYS folder into your kitchen. Take the 28008 folder from the ROM\Shared and place it into the ROM\Shared folder in your kitchen. Then go into ROM\Touch_Pro2 folder and make a copy of 28005 and rename it 28008.

I agree with the above, however the directory structure doesn't match what is available in the link in this thread. Could you revise based upon the link contents or post an external 28008 sys that matches the above directory structure? TIA.

Has anyone have any problems with showcase cooked in to a 28005 build ROM??

It won't start for me...seems to hang (starting from the quick links thru MaxManila.) Everything else on the quick links starts just fine except Showcase.

Also, can someone tell me what "gwes.exe" is?? I looked at my task manager and cheked memory allocation...it is the highest of all. I would like to gain a deeper understanding on how my device works. Thanks!

I agree his post was confusing but I got the gist.

Unpack the 28008.RAR and Put it in SYS\28008
Inside that folder unpack the MSXIP.28008.rar into ROM\Shared\28008
I also copied the packages.txt from 28005 into 28008
Copy ROM\Touch_Pro2\28005 to ROM\Touch_Pro2\28008
