can you not just call verizon and ask them for the sim unlock code for free?? thats the way it worked with the verizon storm. there are a few things you have to have like good payment history and stuff like that. just call and tell them you are going out of the country and want to use a pre-paid sim and they will unlock it fo freee!!! just the sim only though!!!

Hey guys, Ive been lurking these forums for a few months.

Upgraded from a Touch Pro to the Touch Pro 2 for Verizon.

You guys have been a great help to me, I love the software and suggestions everyone gives.

However I'm having some problems with the unlocker, I finally got it extracted after some windows security/norton struggles but now when I try to flash the unlocker on I get errors.

When i run the unlocker in 'auto' mode I get this message that says I've used the unlocker already to sync another device... which is impossible since I only have one TP2.

Then when i run it in manual nothing on my phone happens and i get an immediate "error 246": my phone is not responding check the USB connection yadayadayada.


Someone please help??

Yeah I messed my phone up big time. I tried to flash the sprint radio patch, well before I did the security unlock. I was thinking that the hard hspl was .... well it doesnt matter. I am stuck on the bootloader screen. hard reset doesn't work, can reload hard hspl because my phone wont connect to active sync... Please someone help!??

flash the shipped rom and you should be good to go.

I NEED to re-lock PLEASE....

My MMS isnt working and it's crucial to me no matter what ROM I use.

Just put the stock VZW ROM back on and still wont send/receive MMS messages

relocking will not change any function of your rom. try doing a *228 option 1. or do a hard reset.

the relocker is not available yet. they are working on it.

sounds like your data connection is not working, which mms and myphone require. this is not hard spl related. please pm or im me if you want further assistance

wish i could man, but i think you need cmonex, for the problem you described in your previous post.

did you already try this. put your phone into bootloader mode, then connect it to computer and allow the drivers to install. then you should see it say "USB" at the bottom of the phone screen when it's done installing drivers. then disconnect phone and soft reset it and start the unlocking steps over again

also whole package is updated... there were some people who had freeze of the phone in Automatic mode. i.e. the phone just stopped responding (did not go to black screen, just a crashed windows mobile screen). this update fixes that.

I'm extremely frustrated with this whole unlocking process.

I just dl'd the new updated unlocker package tried to unzip it. Once i try to extract the files from the .zip nothing comes out, just leaves me with the original zipped file and an empty folder that i extracted to.

I'm just so frustrated i've been trying to get this moving for the past 2 days and im ready to give up. Once I get it going i'll donate some money I just need some help?

Is anyone having trouble connecting to http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/? I get a "cannot display the webpage". It isn't a DNS issue, since ping resolves the IP, but can't successfully ping the site. I'm using Comcast as an ISP. I'll try using phone as modem to get there and report back.

EDIT: OK, through Sprint mobile broadband I can get to the website. However, I can't extract the zip file, like the poster above.

EDIT EDIT: Thanks, flushdns appears to have worked on my XP laptop. Problem is that the XP laptop can't extract the zip file. I'm going to try this on my Vista laptop (which can extract the zip). That one couldn't unlock though, because it couldn't be connected to Sprint Mobile Broadband and ActiveSync at the same time. If flushdns works on that one, I should be golden.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: flushdns didn't work for my other machine. The XP laptop must have been using a cached version of the page. Not sure why Comcast can't connect but Sprint can.

EDIT4: OK, not sure how or why, but it worked! Server must have come back up combined with flushdns working when I thought it didn't. I am so going to flash the crap out of this phone!

try an ipconfig /flushdns in cmd or different dns's like 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2

which unlocker did u download? The SIM unlock OR the HSPL unlock?

I think you just had a corrupt download...and should re-download a fresh one.

Glad someone else is having issues with the d/l site. I finally get the courage to try it and now I cant get the file. Oh well I am sure someone is working on it. Hopefully the site comes back up soon.

Any ROM in the CDMA TP2 Upgrades forum. For my part, I'm trying EnergyROM Leo. NRG's ROMs for the Diamond (my previous phone) were great...stable, functional and slick looking. A lot of it is personal preference too. I've used MightyROM and Juicy as well, all good stuff.

HELP! this is great. but when i try to use it, it tells me that i've apparently tried to use the unlocker before. i think it has something to do with the fact that when i'm connected to my PC, my TP2 won't do data, any ideas why?

Same here, just secured the download of unlocker & relocker.
After several tries, finally got through.

Edit:
Question regarding unlocking online.
My only connection to the internet is my primary line. When I get my TP2, does it have to be activated with service before I can run the unlocker?
I will have to use the 6800 to connect to the internet, (as modem) then unlock the TP2 via internet, then flash rom, then activate TP2.
If I use my secondary 6800 (as modem), I will have to pay per kilobyte.
Any one know how many kbs. the process uses.

Im pretty sure your antivirus software is still running. Mine did the same thing. Once the virus software is disabled, you should be good to go.

I uninstalled my anti virus unzipped the NEWEST unlocker.

Installed the recommended .cab onto my phone as per suggestion of the unlocker. The cab called enablerpinew

STILL DOESNT WORK. STILL GETTING 246 USB ERRORS SO FURIOUS I COULD SCREAM.

Your firewall has to be disabled as well. I opened my virus program and disabled everything to do with virus and firewall settings and the program worked for me. Just turn everything back on when its done of course.
