can the full qwerty be removed from portrait mode touch input? i really like compact qwerty (especially since im coming from the storm that uses suretype compact qwerty as default for portrait mode). using 6.5.3 it is not very easy to get the popup to choose between compact and full and phone keypad.

I think if you go to start menu > settings > personal > input you can select which keyboard you want.

that method allows for choosing between HTC Touch Input and the Standard WM stylus only keyboard.
It does defualt to touch input just doesnt allow me to pick what touch input keyboard i want from the 3 available (full, compact, phone keypad). it always defaults to full qwerty. sometimes the one i pick stays until i soft reset sometimes it doesnt. if i text one person its compact and then if i do a new message sometimes its back to full, other times its still compact.
I want to remove the full qwerty keyboard since i have the harware full qwerty that works fine when i can use the phone with 2 hands. otherwise one handed use in portrait mode i need the compact qwerty.

ok, the new rom released on dec4th is giving some weird problems. the taskbar with xperia task manager isn't dropping down correctly when you hit the button on the top right. it will drop down the menu and all of a sudden close and launch HTC Notifications page... then after a few times, it would crash and you would no longer be able to open or launch anything ont he taskbar unless u reset your phone

You're in the wrong thread! You must have downloaded EnergyROM Phoenix 2 (manila 2.1) and not EnergyROM Leo (manila 2.5).

I'm using the disable Xperia X2 task manager cab that NRG posted in the EnergyROM LEO thread. And installing the old HTC task manager also posted in that thread. I'll post my results.

UPDATE: so if you have had that bug with the Dec. 4 release of 21877 where the Xperia X2 task manager freaks out and won't stay open or constantly opens the notifications screen this work around worked for me.

I went and got two cabs that NRG posted in the EnergyROM Leo thread that disable the Xperia X2 task manager and install HTC task manager.

I got both cabs from HERE, but I also attached them for convenience.

I rand the cab that removes the Xperia X2 task manager, then soft reset. Then I ran the cab that installed the HTC task manager, then soft reset.

So far this has everything working normally again using EnergyROM Phoenix 2 21877 Dec. 4 release.

I also have to say that NRG has done another excellent job (aside from the task manager problem). Opera 9.7 was a nice touch, I like it much better than 9.5 or 10. The build of Opera 7 in this rom is amazing! And the new Manila Album program is GREAT! Thanks again NRG!

Huston, we have a problem, currently running 21877 12/04 rom, for some reason Data Connection is not working. every time I launch Opera It'll hang or goes to local host, anyone else in the same boat?

I got it now, the Opera icon link in windows start/internet, for some reason is dead. I reintalled Opera 9.7 with a new link windows/ start, everything working fine now. for Google Maps, you have to update Quick GPS and then enable AGPS in Settings/system/AGPS Settings, it locks in within seconds. By the way, the keyboard is needs fixed.

Did you install the Sprint keyboard fix (cab also attached)?
