Trying to understand a freeze I'm getting periodically.

I'm running 23xxx DinikGlass Aug 13, I deleted the applications data/htc directory.

I just went to add a contact, added it, hit close and the phone refuses to go back to the home tab. I can get into start menu and everything, but cannot get back into the home tab.

I took the phone and connected it to the PC and activesync at which time the home tab comes up and I'm good to go. Anyone experience this? Is there a way to reset sense from the start menu? Maybe this would be a better way to work around the issue in the future.

BTW, the newly added contact was added and everything was fine after activesync got my home tab back.

After you deleted the application data file you should have soft reset so it could rebuild the file.

I'm at work or I would look into your second issue more, but what you are going to have to do is to look for restart sense and put a shortcut for that into your start menu.

I did a soft reset after deleting the data. I'll see if I can find how to restart sense. I tried getting into cookie home tab editor, because I know that will restart sense, but did not have any luck on that front.

U can use one of your quicklinks to have a shortcut to restart sense in the miscellaneous section

Installed the Aug 13 23129 build and for some reason when I have my system volume to below 0 the phone still vibrates, even though it's not set to vibrate. Is there anyway to change this? It hasn't happened on any of the other WM builds I've used before.

How do I get to a quick link when the home tab isn't working? That is the root of the problem.

This might help. You can remap one of your hardkeys to do a reset.

Click start/windows key > settings > personal > buttons.

Choose "End (Hold)" and scroll up through the dropdown list below it until you get to "Reset". Tap OK and whenever you hold down the end key, it should initiate a reset. It should not reset if you just press the end key like if you were ending a call or using it to go back to yuor main screen. It should work for you if Sense is stuck. However, if you are experiencing a SOD, the keys usually don't work either so your only other choice would be to use the actual reset button under your back cover.
