I flash to stock only if I get bugs. I think NRG has said before that this is all that should be needed though but not gonna dig up a quote.

if I am wrong NRG or someone else please correct me.
I only flash back to stock if major issues arise...have not done that in a long time...

Either way you end up getting your code copied from where it is stored to RAM (Program Memory) then it executes from RAM. The copy from Storage to RAM, I think, would be quicker than the copy from SD to RAM, but the programs run from RAM either way. If that's not all correct, someone that knows please straighten me out.

thanks
Honestly Mike it is trial and error....I have found when cooking that some apps perform better when cooked in and then some apps perform better with just cab install...you would think cooked in would be better always..... but these phones as we all know are very quirky when it comes to things like that...

Thanks for the reply

Cab files is one thing, but resetting up backlight settings, getting the current time from the network, quick links, etc.. would be nice if these were all automated as well.. (and not to threadjack, PM would be cool, but what are mortscripts and what are they used for ?)

UC would be best suited for this then ?

Thanks again.

Everything you mentioned and more can be done through sashimi.. and IMHO much easier.

Excellent! Looks like the ringer volume issue has been corrected. My phone ringer is now, indeed, controlled by the ring volume instead of the system volume.

Great work NRG and thank you!

Very nice... If I didn't already have sashimi 99.9% configured for everything I need I would probably give it a try. Thanks

I ended up going back to the March 5 23542 Cookie Rom after trying the March 7th version. I actually increased the PagePool to 20MB instead of 12MB that its set at and it runs much better. I also stay around 70MB of free ram consistently, where on the March 7 ROM, i end up being at 45-50MB

I am also going back to March 5 as I can't setup exchange server, keep getting the 0x85010013 error, it has to do with the password pin screen options. In March 5th, the timeout has 4 options, with the max being 10 minutes, with the March 7th, you have many options and I think this may violate my work exchange server policies, wish I could figure a way to change it, but since I cant, back to March 5th for me.
