anyone want to help test my mass XDA_UC customizations? need some testers who will be ok with installing it after a fresh flash or hard reset, PM me. all programs are uninstallable or can be removed from XDA_UC before you customize (like my sprint apps if you don't have sprint)

I hope there will be a simple cab file fix for the HTC Messaging.

Ok couple of questions after spending days looking through 400+ pages

First of all Juicy great job, very fast and responsive as well as great battery life.

Just want to ask a few questions though...

1) No Landscape Manilla? When ever my device slides open it gives me a black screen with the Start and the 2 soft buttons on the bottom...I can use the arrow keys to change the pages, and that changes the soft buttons, but no display. Any ideas on when we might see Landscape? Or is there something I am missing?

2) Footprints. I read some posts that some people were having issues with footprints, but my issue is that when I try to create a new footprint, I get the following error: Unable to initialize camera, Failed to set up the camera device. Now I can go into Start Camera and the camera works fine, but Footprints can not open my camera. Any thoughts?

settings/sounds and notifications tab over to where you see the drop down with phone: incoming calls... hit that and find new emails...... you should see the flash for xxxx.... un click that and your good to go.

found it!!!! Geez!!!! i had to click, settings, menu, all settings and then the sounds and notification option. little hidden. I must have went into the settings a million times.

So does this mean HTC has finally fixed the infamous Manila 2.5 SMS bug?? Wouldn't that make our day.. If so I'm really hoping this fix will be incorporated in a future Juicy rom update :)

See here for info: http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=11343

There is a thread on this titled "[UPDATED] Sprint TV 100% working"

So, having installed R6 before reading the updated info I was very confused. Until I read this: "[-] HTCMessaging_Client 1_15_19203828_00"

I have no problem going back to the uglier version, considering it just flat-out works better than the prettier, buggier one. However, does this make my "People" and "Messages" tabs nearly useless? Is there a way to map the old WinMo SMS interface to those tabs? For example, I can't click on a person in my People tab to text them, since it's tied to the removed HTCMessaging Client. Same applies for the Messages tabs.

It would be much more convenient if instead of just failing to open altogether that it opens it with the old style SMS. Is there a fix to make that happen? I've read through the last 20ish pages, but only found cabs to bring back the HTCMessaging, which I'm not sure I want to resort to.

ALSO: I would like to agree with the users that suggested a Google Wave version of our conversations here or a Wikipedia article. We could basically direct almost all questions there.

I found the fix and got the info and cabs from this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ght=sprint+fix

All i did was uninstall the Mr. X cab that was already installed with the R6 Rom and then install the one from that thread, then install sprint tv and it worked for me.
