look in the registry at HKLM\Security\Shell|Startinfo\HideSettings...set this is at 0 and the setting link will appear in the start menu that directs you to windows settings

~John

so i did this and reset and now i have 2 settings buttons, one goes to wm settings and the other one goes to manila settings tab. does anyone know how to remove the manila settings tab shortcut in the startmenu for good?

Just use File Explorer and go to windows\startmenu\programs and just delete the files that you dont want on the shortcut.

Definitely doesn't have the memory problem. best 2.5 rom.

just want to say thanks for mentioning in the energy thread that memory issues are gone with juicy's rom. got me to finally try it. best manila 2.5 rom ever, much happier with this than energy. of course, it's only been an hour, but still...

lol there were never any memory issues to begin with, just "perceived" issues...

Wondering the same thing.

I see in the HTC msg that I got a msg, no pic.

I thought that's how it's supposed to work in 2.5

Please do share.

John,
You asked me already, and I answered, see here:

I asked this very same question a while ago and couldn't come up with an answer....SOOOOO, I deleted the manila shortcuts that have icons and just assigned icons to those that didn't (the ones that keep coming back if you attempt to delete them) to make them more bearable...haha

oh no, i meant that the big memory problems in energy rom isn't present in juicy rom. on energy, you're in the mid to high 70s (%) after a few hours and if you try using opera mobile 10 your phone will either soft reset or opera will close.

I was in for a shock when i saw juicy cruising in the 60s still after a couple hours. No more closing of opera!

Sorry I left the "z" out of my link. I meant:

Point Opera or IE to http://mobile.vzw.com/vzstart/ then click on the get apps icon.
