I would make the switch. This rom is very stable and fast for a 2.5 rom. I average about 60 percent after some usage. I never had memory problems either.

60%??? the lowest i could sit at was probably in the 70s after a few hours on energy. definitely considering a flash to juicy next week now. are there any big issues with juicy that i should know about before making the switch?

Anyone know what I need to do to get Sprint TV to work? I got an error the first couple times, now I just get Exit and Continue soft buttons and nothing else.

Hey guys. I've only been using energy ROMs for manila 2.5, but i've heard good things about juicy's. I've been happy with energy, but it's impossible to multitask with it, especially using memory hog programs like opera mobile. 90% of the time i use opera it closes or the phone resets itself because of the strain on memory.

thinking about making the swap to juicy... my question is this... does juicy have this memory problem? after regular use for a few hours, how much RAM is in use (percentage)? thanks!

Definitely doesn't have the memory problem. best 2.5 rom.

I use both SPB U & sprite, but I only use them to restore a full system BU to the same ROM. Although it does have the ROM upgrade mode, I never use it.

I got curious & was bored tonight, so I decided to try an experiment.

I backed up my system with Sprite & then flashed from R3 to R5.

I then went to the Sprite BU file & restored it in ROM upgrade mode & used merge level 2(that is the default unless you are only restoring pim data).

When the restore was finished, the system ran fine but it was quite a bit different than it had been before. All my shortcuts where gone, all the people settings where different, my custom taskbar was gone etc etc etc etc

After playing with it for a while, I flashed back to R3 & restored the BU & everything is fine again..........

You were right the first time Jmorton. It is retarded to backup settings b/c you don't know what has changed. The exception are reg keys for programs that you know that location won't change.

talking about settings. Anybody know where to get that program NRG uses to backup the fav contacts. It has support for sense 2.1 and 2.5

How do you change the key name from SMS to SMS.HTC? I am using PHM editor and i do not see a rename function under the edit menu.

I figured out how to change it but when I go into CDMA in mms inbox, there is nothing inside settings box. It is empty. Does that mean I have to install arcsoft? Some people were saying they did not have to install Arcsoft. FYI, I provisioned for Sprint after install.

I have also been unsuccessful getting MMS to work on Sprint. If anyone could post definitive steps for Sprint on R5, that would be great.
