To anyone that will be cooking, this is for you...

If you are not sure what a 6.5 kernal will do......... then you should not be cooking roms, if you are not sure how to use it........ you should not be cooking roms.......... If you have to ask how to use it.... I will be of no assistance........ This is for people that know their way around a rom and how to use it, and cook for it, to its full potential.........

Increased Virtual Memory

Increased the program virtual memory by allowing the operating system kernel to relocate the DLL code to slot 60 and slot 61, a potential gain of 64 MB of virtual memory. Note that only the read-only code sections of each DLL will be relocated in the upper slots; read/write data sections of relocated DLLs will still occupy slot 0.

this was extracted from the TP2? or is it the same 6.5 native?
if new, would this nk need to be ported for TP1 cooking or is it dragndrop ready?
im thinkin it should be good to go seeing as how the OAL should be about the same... they both have the same hardware (as far I know), but then again, it is a hybrid... so i just dont really know...

I didnt think the rhodium was going to have 6.5 the one i saw in june that was brought to our store had 6.1 on it.

no its ok. Honestly I don't know where the new sys are coming from, I use 23017 personally, but I don't know if they are released by microsoft or by random users tweaking them. I honestly thought people were still waiting for the one that comes out oct 6th from microsoft and i thought the kernal you had was to that one.

SYS being released by MS on OCT 6, will be dated. it will be an older build that has been tweaked by the OEM, and so it wont be anything new. if it is a new number, it will be based on older code.

New SYS are coming on new TEST ROM from HTC.

Conflipper can you get us the OEM side preferably the HTC OEM's from a native 6.5 build? Someone has them but all thats distributed is the SYS side on the newer builds.

im not releaseing the oems at this time, one big reason...... what good are they? Can you flash the RhodiumW right now? So if you cant flash, what good with they be.... Once the Unlocker is complete I can release more stuff, updated stuff to, but until then, there is little use.

Along with the 6-7 RhodiumW radios that I have right now, I could release a full radio thread, but until we have unlcokers done, it does no good for anyone.

no idea where it got started that i had a TP1 nk.exe 6.5 kernal. but i never did, the latest rom i had, was a 2.01 Sprint Test rom, that was running 21046 SYS. but nothing special was in there. so that was all. But I never did have a 6.5 TP kernal. and there will not be one either.

Con, do you or anyone else for that matter have any idea about the progress of the unlocker? I checked the stickied thread and the last few pages is just bickering between people.

Guys,

I'm a noob. What does con mean by saying that this is a "This is from a Sprint 6.5 TP2 ROM" ? What is a Kernal? (I tried googling that, but only found Kernel). I just got my Sprint TP2 and want to install WM 6.5 on it. How to do it? Any help is very much appreciated.

Conflipper has connections that are up there so he was able to get the kernal for the sprint 6.5 rom. With the kernal you can create sys and roms. The only problem is that an unlocker hasn't been created for our phone yet so there is no way to run any custom roms on the phone as of yet. Follow the link below because that is where the unlocker will be placed when its done.
