How do I make Opera not open the mobile version of a web site? I have turbo off & mobile view unchecked yet it still opens the mobile page instead of full site.

There is a Google search setting that can affect that- did you check there, too? Or is it all pages (even those you don't find via searching)?

Battery drain has been excellent for me. I took my sim card out since I'm in the US only and don't need it. However, the radio defaults to US only when you are in the US so, technically hte sim should be moot.

Now the one thing that matters the most is your reception. At home I can go 2 or more days on a full charge comfortably. However, I was out on the lake yesterday in a very rural area of Tennessee and had spotty coverage as well. Started out the day with a full charge and ended with a very hot phone and about 20%. Only did one FB upload and no calls, data or texts. So if you are in a crappy coverage area, that plays a big factor in your battery.

One thing you may want to try is changing out your radio software. Some users have found some improvememt in ingnal and battery life by changing radios. Which one is best? Well, that depends on lots of factors and the only way for you to really find out is to try them all and see which works best for you.

I'm running Full FOrce and could not be happier with it.

thanks a lot for your reply.. well i started out with around 97 % battery and that was at 2 pm.. right now it's 9 pm almost and my battery is 38% with very short 3 or 4 calls.. a bit of texting and around half an hour of opera browsing.. and one hard reset to clear everything and all mods and applications to ensure nothing is making the battery drain. 2.23.00vw is the radio version..

Surfing the internet on the phone takes a toll on the battery life, also when you do a Hard reset and you don't have the phone plugged in, the battery consumption is tremendous. you will run your battery down using all this. If your in a low coverage area, and if you don't have EVDO your battery will not last that long.

Also check your settings for updating weather and how often you sync your email. If you have push email, try syncing every 2 or 4 hrs. that will increase the battery life.
