Works fine.

with phone off (at least for VZW branded phones)

hold power button, send, and volume down all at the same time

Yeah,
There is a reg for closing programs when ram usage = certain amount. On my TP, advanced config would allow me to change it (or turn it off). Try it, let me know...

Anyone working on a CAB to add a Programs TAB to the Home Screen TAB's?

Yes I did search and thank you for your help but that's not my problem.

I can't send a regular TEXT message using the windows client.
When I press send it does nothing.

Here's the order of things I do:

1. go to messaging tab
2. click all messages
3. new message
4. type out text message
5. press send - nothing happens.

If I stay in the htc client it sends the message.

I can also go to the start menu, choose text messages, type one out and try to send with nothing happening

Is there something I'm missing that wont let me send a text (not mms) message through windows client?

I thought acrsoft was only for people who wanted to use mms.

I think I asked this before but never really got an answer.... When I use WIFI internet sharing for my laptop the connection will not stay on when I turn the screen on even though I have the keep wifi on when idle .cab installed. has anyone had this problem??:scratch: Thank you in advance.=D>

correct arcsoft is for MMS messages.

are you sure you haven't installed any mods that are interrupting this process?

Nothing at all.

Flashed to stock, cleared storage, flashed to mightyrom, cleared storage again.

Then I tried sending a text - works from htc, not from windows.

I don't get a message telling me it didn't send, the button lights up like I pressed it but nothing happens.

It's got me stumped.

Maybe I should try flashing to stock and trying to send a message from windows.

This is also an issue on my ROM... I've been trying to fix it for a couple of days now. I believe I've narrowed it down to my provisioning package... I was going to see what differed in Mighty's but if it's happening on his rom too, maybe it has to do with the sprint drivers... that's when it started for my rom....

It seems to only happen when you are rapidly texting and it usually doesn't fail until after 10 or 15 sms's.... then it is resolved with a soft-reset or switching to or from cdma mode.

I'd hate for you to have to do that, but your right, makes zero senze. Mike would have to help you on this, or you can do the flash dance and try stock and see what happens.

Hey, no problem I appreciate you taking the time to help.

It's almost like the send button in the windows client isn't mapped to anything.

Anyone know where it is in the registry?

This is the issue I was asking you about last night regarding my rom, see my post above? :scratch:

Running your ROM right now and I CANNOT break SMS though... so maybe its a mod he installed....

Mike,

I've searched around and I can't seem to find an answer to this. Do you know if there is any way to disable the weather animation that is part of sense's clock(right below the numbers)? Not the background weather, I already turned that off.

Is Wifi shutting off?.. Or is the actual data connection to your carrier being terminated?

If it's the latter, that's actually a rather common issue and (afaik) there's nothing that can really fix that as your carrier is terminating the connection on their side

No, it is not Sprint. It is just when I hit the button on top of the phone to turn the screen off to save power... wifi stops.... when I hit the button again wifi starts back.

All this is just when I am using the phone as a modem through wifi.

Problem solved!!!!

It was so simple I'm smacking myself in the head.

I had a blank sim card installed that caused the problem.

Once I pulled it and reset I was able to send.

I put it in a long time ago to fix a problem with a modified taskbar.

If it wasn't in there'd be a white icon - installed the sim card and it went away. (probably a gsm modified taskbar for cdma)

I have had this problem in the past. I disabled activesync when I used Internet Sharing and that solved the problem for me. (Killed active sync from task manager in windows) It seems activesync kept trying to sync and bumped off the connection when it did.

Using that exact same keepwifionwhenidle cab I just turned on wifi router, connected my ipod touch to it, shut the screen off on my phone and was able to browse the web for 5 mins over the wifi without a single issue

Are you using the built-in Wi-fi router in the manila comm manager menu?

Wait so you are using wifi to pass internet to your laptop via tethering and you don't want it to shut off when your phone goes to sleep? Isn't that a widely recognized thing that a cab fixes on the first page? (assuming I understand you correctly) If it isn't working, maybe reinstall it?

Hey Tink. Mighty re-did most of the provisioning cabs with this latest release cuz the older ones kept breaking stuff during testing (the Verizon prov cab was especially difficult as it broke everything from data to not even being able to call anyone from the contact card)

So I'm 99% sure it's different (can't tell for sure since I'm not on Sprint), but if you wanted to post the prov cab from his old Imapct ROM, I can compare the differences

Now 24hrs on MR's new ROM and no major problems. So far It's GREAT & Very Fast.
One self induce lock-up. WIFI Router got stuck on and after installing a few standard cabs couldn't get Activesync to work. Turned off the option for faster sync.
