Re: Kitchen: Nega's HTC CP | v2.5.0.1 | 21915/23134 | Sense 2018 | Updated 8/28

Once again updated the kitchen. This will be the last for a few weeks as I want to finish other projects I'm involved in. I will still answer questions and update when I can :D Which is surprisingly often.

If I look in the Temp folder I see tempxipmoduleslist.tmp but not tempxipmoduleslist.bat.

But there's a lot of crap in the Temp folder, so maybe it did work? I've never done this before so I have nothing to compare to.

Maybe you have a .bat file association problem. Can you build a rom?
Also It appears that the 6.5 Kitchen tools Folder had some corruption. Not sure why, gotta love hard drives. Fixed in the 8/28 Kitchen.

Hey just wanted to say thanks for such a well designed kitchen. Almost everything working for manila 2018 (22037). One question: do you know why CHT lock is not working in this verson? I used my my own modified version, did you make changes to the one included?

Well maybe 2nd question also: Do you have any of the tabs besides the normal ones, like facebook or call history.

Thanks again for the easy to understand VK and GUI Launcher.

Thanks for Using it! I removed all locks due to using s2u2. You may even notice wm6 lockscreen missing. Sorry for that. I do plan on adding a folder specifically for lock software.

As for tabs. These are a little outdated but work - Manila Tabs

Using your last kitchen to build a test rom, not sure why people are having issues but it works good for me.

I have a question though.

I wanted to build without the dusk theme, icons, and keyboard stuff, I replaced it with icons and stuff I want, but some how I screwed something up, the clock is off by 2 hours, not sure why nothing I think I did has anything to do with the timezone, any ideas, do you have a script that i may have removed, or ???.

Thanks for any input.

Actually It's Something I forgot to add, I added it to the 8/28 kitchen "Tweaks - Registry" Folder. It's confused about your time zone

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Time]
"TimeZoneInformation"=hex:A4,01,00,00,4D,00,6F,00,75,00,6E,00,74,00,61,00,69,00,6E,00,20,00,53,00,74,00,61,00,6E,00,64,00,61,00,72,00,64,00,20,00,54,00,69,00,6D,00,65,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,0B,00,00,00,01,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,4D,00,6F,00,75,00,6E,00,74,00,61,00,69,00,6E,00,20,00,44,00,61,00,79,00,6C,00,69,00,67,00,68,00,74,00,20,00,54,00,69,00,6D,00,65,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,02,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,C4,FF,FF,FF

SVN Folders are used for a person to sync their Files to their repository Online. You don't use that technique, So you don't need it. I plan on using SVN in the future though.

Basically all Its saying is that there aren't Any SVN folders to remove prior to build.

Great kitchen, I love the all black theme but I do have one problem, In emails, I cannot see the subject very well because of the white text on light gray background. Changing the theme from dusk to something else fixes the problem but then there are no black skins. Same thing happens in opera (Url, text input, etc) Any fixes available?

I believe the email Issue is Taken care of in the 8/28 release. If you still have problems, let me know. I'm slowly working out the kinks and whatnot in the kitchen.

Also I noticed that I have the IME packages in the wrong location, preventing any keyboard skin from working. Both need to be moved from "EXT\Shared\System - HTC" to "EXT\Touch_Pro2\2XXXX\Packages"

Turns out that applying the above fix, fixed one problem but created another. I will continue to look around.

Glad I could help!

That is certainly abnormal

My first guess would be your anitvirus blocks/moves something. try disabling antivirus, extract kitchen rar, then building.

My second would be file association with .bat extension

I just downloaded the kitchen and disabled my antivirus before download and extraction. I got the same error as before. At the end of processing it says:
ERROR!!!!
Wait some seconds....
No "SVN" folders present...
Restored Original Config.txt...
temp config.txt deleted!!!

then it stops building. I have no clue. I've never had this issue before.

I tried it unchecked and it still works. Is your windows update completely updated? Might be something with NetCF 3.5 needing a service pack or something possibly.

I have noticed some bugs after building with the new kitchen.

#1. Cannot get phone options to come up no matter what

#2. Keyboard FN key (Maybe others as well) are non functional.

The phone options I am aware of. I'm currently working on it.

As for keyboard. Works on my verizon. More than likely an issue with

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME\KeyboardLayouFiles]
"07FF"="eT9.Rhodium.Sprint_WWE.kmap"

If it's not the reg. Then the file is wrong.

Try this one Sprint Kmap

try these... the one ending with wm6.5 is obviously for 6.5 only... it has big buttons and will cause a scroll bar to apprear on 6.5.x roms the other is smaller buttons and will work with 6.5.x

just copy them into the EXT/Touch_Pro2/2xxxx/Packages folder

also you do not want to select the 5.0 canvas or video telephony after you do this

The file associations for batch files seems fine. I tried building a ROM, it seemed to complete just fine (the ROM flashing window popped up, then I clicked cancel) but I don't really know what I'm doing exactly.

I'll try out the new version next.

Thanks for sharing your kitchen. I am new to cooking and have no idea how to cook titanium into it. I know I have to add in the cHome folders to the following sys/23134 folders, but I can't get it to show up after it's all cooked. Am I missing some files or do I need to do something to the xip? Thanks again for any help and keep up the good work!=D>

sys/23134/dpi_192/common/CHome_DPI_192
sys/23134/shared/409/CHome_Lang_0409
sys/23134/shared/common/CHome

sys/23134/dpi_192/common/Bronze_DPI_192
sys/23134/shared/common/bronze

Nevermind got it working with a new sys download.

Hey, great kitchen and ROM. I've been flashing ROMs for a while, but I'm pretty new at working with kitchens and customizing. I've tried both a ROM I built with your kitchen and your ROM from post 1 and when I disable sense and use the standard WinMo home screen the Start button and close button are not there on the home screen. Only the 2 soft keys and the whole bar isn't skinned. Everything shows up normally and works fine on any other screen (when running an app, with start menu open, etc).

How can I fix that?

OK one more update haha. Integrated New CM phone settings along with the old. Removed OverClock as being default so It won't be included into roms until I can get some stable OverClock going. Changed a couple other packages up as well. Mainly updated SYS' for both kitchens.

Thanks! The dialers have cprog caller ID problems when using wm6.5.X. The Huashan I'm using works alot better this round. Very fast and after I removed dependancies for video telephony, it's Actually 5MB smaller than 4.2 phone canvas. The video call option isnt a burden so I don't worry about it.

Hmm. did it actually build a RUU_Signed.nbh that's around 130MB? Sometimes the kitchen will continue even with errors in some cases is why I ask. In those certain cases, It would be like 10MB or less

Thank you very much for your interest! I believe we were all noobs at one point so any flaming toward you would be nothing other than disrespectful. So ask away!

I do plan on creating a tut for beginners because I believe creating a Rom via kitchen can be pretty easy. Most packages are out there in EXT form, Just finding them is the work. It will be detailed and WILL be step by step. It will Mainly focus on how to get the packages you want to use converted and integrated. I tried to do most of the work and make it easy to understand just by opening the directory and using what's there as examples for customizing.

If you want to just build what I have then...

1. Open Nega's HTC CP v2.5.0.1.exe
2. Click BUILD A ROM and wait for the Kitchen to load
3. Once the Kitchen is up, load an .ERV file of your choice from Load Rom option on the top left
4. Browse through the packages and double-click packages to either enable or disable(such as carrier or application)
5. Click Create Rom when ready to build
6. Wait and when its ready it will prompt for you to flash, assuming your ready to.

Thanks for the kind words negamann.
Just wanted to ask...
what is the difference in an OEM and EXT.
if i want to add my purchased cab files for eg.. resco explorer onto my rom, do i add it as a EXT or OEM? Which folder should i add them to?
Also how can i change the SYS Builds? Do i need to change the XIP files also?
and if so which folders do i add them to?
Also what is the difference between a Kitchen and Kitchen ROM?
btw looking forward to that tutorial!!!!!
thanks and appreciate your help.

OK, Here's a start. I've created a small setup with instructions to get you from a CAB to an OEM to an EXT with somewhat detailed instructions. Certainly a start

Basically all OEM's have are better security. Ext's are just ALOT easier to work with. You can find info about the differences searching these forums actually.

I just added a little setup that will set you on your way in this very post :D

As for SYS. Most of them are set up for you these days. A friend and I are working on a quick reorganizer that will do it all for you. Be patient and it will be worth it.

The Kitchen Builds the Kitchen Rom. The Roms are there for you to test and see if the Kitchen is worth downloading :)

Thanks VERY MUCH Timberwolf!

You are very correct! The download stats are Impressive, but not many Thanks. The stats are enough to keep me updating :)

Just a side note: I've rarely had posts regarding issues with the kitchen. I'm just one guy so please let me know if there are any problems. I assume no posts, no problems.

I am having a problem, I used to be able to build roms with nega's kitchen until i downloaded the newest release. Now it gets stuck at Platformrebuilder for about 30 mins and then gets stuck again after that. Took me about 2 hrs to complete the building process. What could be going on here? any ideas?

wow looks like there is a problem with platformrebuilder. maybe it was updated? perhaps we may have to downgrade platformrebuilder.

I just thought it was my machine acting up, my cpu is hogged down while this is hapenning. After force closing the kitchen, all is well. Something is def up

I have a text msg vibrating bug with this sys 21916. if i dont press the END key, it will vibrate forever (till the batt dies completely)

Otherwise, it is very fast and super batt efficient!

one of my exts was causing my error...replaced the ext and system rocked. so pctek4456 please check your exts?? just a thought since that worked for me...btw i am a noob at cooking so dont look at me for answers :-) questions ...?? I have tons of my own right now

btw created my own rom today and it works :-) you cant imagine how happy i am to finally see my own goodies cooked into the rom...he heh heh

i tried to cook in my paid version of "spb traveller"
i created a cab to ext file and loaded that into the applications folder.
however ..it loaded into program files and did not work at all.
all my other cabs to ext i.e resco explorer and core player worked right away.
i now understand how to create folders and shortcuts to the folders ...but how do i get the program to work? the exe file does not show up for spb traveller :-(
i know that i will have to tweak the dll file but i have no clues as to how to approach that...
any help will be greatly appreciated...
thanks
also negamann which files do i need to change to change the dialer?

This Ext will cuase an error in the kitchen if selected
Drivers - D3D - NeoS2007 v3

Just select instead
Drivers - D3D - OEM

Also
System - IME Engine Western v2.1.20142921.00
System - IME_EzInput_Western_2_1_20112821_00

Will not let your rom boot if you dont used the dusk keyboard,
find an unedited version

Thanks, i've tried your suggestions above and still have the platformrebuilder huge delay issue. Anyone happen to have a link to the older kitchens?

well if you dl the kitchen with the sys already in it, for example i dled the
Kitchen 23135.5.3.9 loaded the preset file for verizon and ran "build rom" it ran perfectly and made the rom correctly. the driver was originally NeoS2007 as well

Awesome Job getting some dll stuff sorted for them Lionedas! Whenever Platformrebuilder errors out, the cause is more than likely .dll related. Some items being moduled can cause this. Sorry I didn't catch it sooner. I'm doing some more cleanup work, trying to get the kitchen more "fool" proof so to speak..

Have you tried creating a shortcut (.lnk) and adding it into your package leaving spb in /windows? if you have then the .exe will run better from /Program Files

The black dialer skin will show you the way. the images are inside "phcanImages.dll". You will need to RecMod Then use a resource editor (XNResourceEditor.exe is located inside the Tools folder of the kitchen)
