Just extract the 2 files and place in \Program Files\iContact AE\Themes

disabled unneeded system packages
fixed start menu background(aligned)
Updated all carrier provisioning cabs to fix arcsoft default issue
finished .netcf update.

For some reason, if I move any of the icons on my start menu (or tap one of the icons to move on to another menu), the icons start overlapping with each other creating a motion blur.

Any tips? (Kitchen rom... same problem with single, 3, and 4 column start menus.)

i think since there are so many rc's it would help all of us to knwo which version your posting about as a general rule?

as i am still on rc2 rev 3 right now, and have yet to find a problem, i have finally hit a slowdown but thats becuase the tp2 is vunerable to txt messages piling up, no rom will ever fix that...

If you use the kitchen and include xda_uc, then disable the theme within it. The latest 3.2 kitchen should have that sorted out. If that isn't the issue, upload your build log AND romsave and I will take a look

reporting back,

the text function loosk nice,
it has same motion blur problme flipping landscape again.... bleh...but it will flip back to portrait, so it is beter than the last png cab you tried...

i suposect the tp2 is not suite for cabs that have gfx in the txt msg fields...

had same problem here too. made a fresh rom with his kitchen just the basics no themes. installed all the apps that i usually use and somewhere in there it broke the start menu. this was the fix i did. clear storaged the phone same rom. install each app one at a time and make sure you restart phone everytime. worked like a charm for me that way.. good luck that was my solution =D>

Thanks for continuing to maintain and update the ROMs for the TP2.

I have been limited in the ROMs that I can use by charging issues. I have summarized these in a post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...ml#post2057268

To quickly summarize, I found inconsistent charging from all of the ROMS that used the 1% battery driver.

I was very grateful that you posted the Kitchen and now have tried building a ROM a few times without the 1% battery driver. Unfortunately, all of the resulting ROMs seem to have no battery driver at all and constantly show 0% battery. They also don't charge from any charger or while tethered.

Can you (or anyone else) help me to create a ROM that will charge from all of my chargers (with the stock Battery driver)?

Here are a couple Sprint Stock battery drivers
They both include 'battery.dll' and 'battdrvr.dll'
I suggest trying the 1% first. It is made from sprint stock tp2 driver

To disable the auto-rotate, Remove this key. Start Menu > Task manager Then Regedit:

it was fixed in the rc2 version(wihtout the png's in txt function. i have removed the key right now, i wish i coudl figure a way to take a screen shot for you. liek i said, it does a stop motion screen blur when i flip the keyboard out for any program.(not just the txt msg) i type what i need to, then i flip it back in and it acts liek it shoudl in portrait style.

in the rc2 version i was using, it would rotate just fine on every instance no matter what program and how many txt messages were loaded...

how do i help you find the error?,so when you flip out your kb in your verizon tp2, it rotates to ladnscape and everythign is fine?

ok nega, i removed the tmail thing, and reastarted the phone. its still blurring. you think maybe the sprint tp2's are just that different from verizon's? that they can't handle png's? (remeber this is the second phone i have)

i just put rev1 of 3.3 on my phone(the one you removed form the post) and it works perfect, it has to be a cab or somethign new in rev 2 that is jacking it up! the win 7 them for text looks nice, real nice......!!!!

i left the tmail thing on, i havent doen anythign yet with the rev1 cept provision it.

ideas?

Yeah it makes sense now. Gotta be .png compression to arcsoft or something. I'll revert it and see. noticed the keyboard prediction has a view issue. fixed already

HAving problems with the MMS, It keeps saying message failed and need to retry. Well never works. Im using it on boost with the Boost Provisions. Any help is great.

Reverted system packages and WP7 sms theme from .png compression
added app Qik (thanks to run_amuck for the suggestion)

Nega, the XDAshutdown is broken in 3.3rc3; I could not shutdown phone last night, had to put it to sleep. Still putting it thru it's paces otherwise.

Update. Yes it is a bug in the rom; I re dled it to be sure. Otherwise everything else looks good so far.

This Version is set up for XDA_UC. Now you can Customize what apps you want. Download the XDA_UC.rar, Extract, Add/Remove the cabs of your choice, then place the XDA_UC folder to your Storage Card
No config files required. it installs anything in the folder. regs, provxml, etc.

Also Seems to increase performance this way.

It will take about 7 minutes for XDA_UC to install all the cabs with the setup I have. Take some cabs away, even sooner. You cannot uninstall these cabs, Remove the ones you don't want before flashing

once again nice rom, the only thing that bugs me, and its kinda a big deal to me personally because I text people, and its just seems a little sluggish when trying to open a new text..make a new text..pic msg, ect...and even when I open to the keypad..iduno just a little more speed in that area and i would say this rom is 100% or at least 99.8% lol

what im thinking is since the fonts might be different thats what causing the sluggish response. shrugs

This has to be an issue with Sprint phones. The latest rc4 rom zooms on my verizon phone. rotation, mms, everything fast. I'm going to release a Sprint phone edition for you guys to test. Going to use Sprint stock OEMDrivers instead. See if that doesn't help you guys enjoy the speed I have. I'm also oc'd to 768MHz, been oc'd for months now. No issues, no SODs.

Nega, first off thank you for all the hard work. I love your WP7 roms. I'm having a problem with several files having empty icons appearing in the file list with the 3.3rc4 with your XDA_UC file, and several icons and programs not appearing when I strip out the cabs I do not want. For example, My Phone gets installed, but there is no program shortcut that appears. Also only 2 of the games appear in the game sub folder, even tho I have not removed any of the game cabs, Kinda at a loss on what is going on here.....the empty icons are generally not programs shortcuts, but dll files and others.

I'm personally at a loss as well. My phone has been decent. I know the crayon physics cab causes files to show in the WP7 program list (the arrow on the top right) and puts an icon in the wm6 start menu main that I can't seem to get rid of. but every app has installed for me.

You not let XDA_UC finish customization? try a manual install from Start Menu > Tools > XDA_UC Manual Start.lnk
