If you use Co0kie rom, you will get alot more links & upto 6 pages of links if you choose. as well as functions to turn animation off etc.

I didnt cook a 23120 with co0Kie but if enough peeps want it i can..


ALSO: the rom i was testing... Nope Nadda. Has a problem with caller id functions and a couple other issues. So off back to the kitchen to look at the other version.

Yeah, I tried some other ROMS with Cookie; I like the customizations, but they seemed to become laggy after a while. Downloading your cookie now to give it a try.

are you downloading modded or unmodded? Modded means bg4all, clear bars etc. unmodded means co0kie with nothing extra done to it (hoping your downloading the one you want)

The Opera question is interesting. There are things I like about each of them. I like the functionality of opera 10, except for the one tap zoom. You can't control it. It's either zoomed out or zoomed all the way in. I like the way zoom works on opera 9.7, so I end up using it more. If there was a way to get the zoom working differently on 10, I think that would be the way to go.

Programs: loving the new Bing. I also use an automatic screen locking program such smartlock(preferred) or lockdevice. You already include some of the others such as psshutxp (but I also like xda shutdown), and cleanram. Keep up the good work!

It's 3g, its just the icon.

This is a cooked rom. cooked to run for verizon. Thats the icon the task bar creator used. Most flashed roms ive used have had the ev icon. I prefer it to say 3g too but hey. It is what it is.

Hey Clueless25,

What are the differences in 21903 and 21904?

I am running 21904 lite and on occassion my ringer will stop working. Volume is up, ringer is selected and I can see the call come in, but there is no ringer. If I reset the phone the problem goes away. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Last thing, is there a way to get a backspace arrow on the dial pad? If you fat finger the touch pad, there is no way to erase.

The back arrow & cant do anything about. Its the conference dialer. I know... have hit a wrong # on dialpad driving..

sound: It actually didnt do that to me when i used it for the few days. I'm thinking of going back to the other top menu version of roms.

Looking at htc branch but the 2 I cooked, didnt keep on phone more then a day. Switching kitchens as well will take a day or so to make sure set up right. Then will be able to throw more flavors for peeps to play with.

Actually the 23569, while it is a bottom start menu has been running slick. Thats what i keep on mine. I prefer the one handed access to all items as opposed to top menu. Have almost dropped the phone using top menu a couple of times one handed.

Great Rom Clueless! I too am glad to see a verizon version out there. My one issue is with the bottom scroll bar, it seems to overlap especially on email/text messages when there is a number visable. (21904 & 23569)

Hey, just wanted to post some of my experiences with the ROMS. Tested All of them i think. I really liked 21903 and the 23120 basic. Two of the better ROMs out there. i liked that 21904 was fast and smooth, but i had problems with the notifications and the task manager. I know you included quick menu for the task management on 21904, but I like the htc task manager in the upper right corner. I added arkswitch to the 23569s for task management, but I liked how the 23120 functioned. i think that is one of the best 6.5.x roms out there. Also tried the cookies. Although I do think yours are smoother that most, I always end up going back to the non cookie. Keep up the good work!

OK. Dumb question here.

How do you determine what version of "Sense" the phone has ( 2.1 or 2.5 ).

I have a Verizon HTC TP2 WM6.5

I went, start>settings>all settings>system>about. Then tapped the vertual qwerty pad symbol at the bottom of the V qwerty pad to pull up a menu and tapped "about". What came up was a HTC company screen that said:

"Touch input for Pocket PC"
"version 2.1(build 1920.2423)

Is this my version of Sense?

Verizon's stock rom is 2.1. so yes if your running verizons rom, you are running 2.1 sense

1) I need to do a HSPL unlock.
2) Then DL the ROM, unzip the file and follow any instructions.

Do I have this right??

Yes. But make sure you get the proper unlocker for your phone.

You will also need to download the update utility zip file in the 1st post as well. Just insert the .nbh file and flash. When changing versions of my rom, just replace the .nbh file with the one you want to flash. The updateutility file can be used over & over.

I am running 21904. I cannot seem to get Opera 10 to run. I have downloaded a fresh cut from Opera.com and even that does not work. It installs OK, but when I try to run it, the hour glass spins forever and I have to reboot.

Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is maybe the servers be it opera's or verizons. In my case I thinki its verizon because its not just web surfing, its weather & anythng else that needs data access. sometimes its fine, others &@$#%^@!..

While there have been diff weird issues between dif roms mine included. Im thinking in next versions going back to the 9.7 untill opera fixes its bugs/user issues. One of the stupidest things they did was either full out zoom you v had to pan constantly or too small of text just plain stupid with default full page.

On the other hand IE is installed and works Great & you still have the zoom.

official opera 10 sucks!! i use this and have yet to ever have a single issue on any rom with it,if opera 10 is cooked in i still install this version,also here is a link for every single opera build you can think of from current all the way back to 9.5,from opera and tweaked versions from users and other versions as well,im sure you will find the version that best suites you :)

Sorry no updates as work has been busy & I'm also working on using 2 different new kitchens as my fav kitchen which is getting a major overhaul.

23569 will most likely get some updates as well. This version by far has been my fav. New cookie and a few other changes wil be made. 6.5.5 branch to me has been the most stable rom out.

If you have version requests, post or pm me with them. I still am not doing 6.1. If enough people request Titanium I will make one.

Verizon roms are not dead.. just getting some needed adjustments.

Ok update.. new phone is here... Strange speaker phone works better on replacement then new phone.. anywayz.

going to run it a few days make sure it's all good before i try an unlock.

Also new kitchen can support more then just verison HOWEVER im a verizon person. couldn't tell you squat about another carrier. sooo question is...

Who out there would like to try on other carriers?..

Clueless, it's great to see that you are thinking about going back into the ROM cooking business. I've always been intrigued by a Verizon only ROM, and very much look forward to trying it out.
Things I always load after a flash include (IF not already cooked in):
Total Commander - Should be included in EVERY ROM build from every chef.
MyMobiler - Allows for easy phone manipulation on a PC screen & screen shots.
Swype 3.9 - Can't live without it. With this, I never open my hardware keyboard.

I realize that you are not cooking a ROM especially to my specifications, and that all of these won't make your cut, but after all, you DID ask what we wanted and use. I have always preferred the 6.5 builds in the past, but recently have started using 6.5.x and am liking this as well also.

This looks like something i'd definitely like to follow. I'm assuming your going to make a basic and full version? I think i'd be more in line for the Basic version but Gary's requests look like a great start for the full or loaded version (whatever you like to call it)

coming from MightyROM i definitely like the stock feel...in a Basic ROM the only things i would add (that i can think of)

Try using version 21680 for the 6.5.x ROM (it's what Energy uses)

Also i may be the only one but i am a little weary of the Verizon update as the buttons are bigger on that ROM and is therefore not compatible with most mods. I'm not sure a way around this though as this is a Verizon specific ROM lol so that may be something i'll just have to live with, but i am looking forward to trying this out
