Well, this rom is already CFC'd so there is nothing to do here. I know NRG recently started to Compress and Believe Might Mike is Uncompressed. In short NO there is nothing to do to speed up your rom, but I am testing the new clean and that has 90+ megs free after XDA!

The CFC does speed up Manila, but only the manila graphics, it has an effect on overall performance but not drastic.

I wouldn't recommend messing with the Manila files unless you are making new slider tabs or graphics to customize to your liking, but can be a pain.

The slider images need to be a certain location to show up right on the slider bar.

alrighty. that makes sense then. to bad tho. i installed CHT on the clean and when i slide the home tabs up/down or sideways they are fairly smooth but when there are several programs running in the backround they seem to be glitchy. as soon as i close them all in TM, they slide nice an smooth again. this is not a concern for me in anyway. just something funny i have noticed and always wondered was was causing that? my guess is the slow processor... but what i dont get is that the programs are open in the backround but they arnt doing anything. like pic/videos, notes, camera as opposed to WMP playing a song or google maps, opera using data...

You must be using 6.5x. In the 6.5x roms you need to manually shut the apps down through the task manager, unlike 6.5 roms where you can set the X button to completely shut it down. I, personally, add Ameba and Scarecrow's Ameba Settings to the XYC 6.5x roms. This allows you to be able to click x to completely shut the app down and customize what other soft keys and some hard buttons do.

When you first Install Ameba and the Settings you will need to soft reset the phone. go into the start menu and the settings will be at the bottom.

Squeaky Clean is just a wicked ROM! Pretty close to the perfect ROM in my book. Big Time Thanks XYC!!

Oh and just a PS: I don't even know what it means to "share a kitchen", but I'm sure as hell not going to ask to!!

Is it possible to uninstall a program from a ROM like this? I've installed the Sqweaky Clean version and would like to uninstall Opera 10 beta, is there any way to do this? Same goes for GoogleMaps, whenever it is updated how do I go about removing the old version before I install the new version?

Nope.....can't remove the cooked in aps......But many times the new Version of Opera can be installed over the cooked in version, may be the case with google maps not sure as I rarely use the app.

XYC and the beta team are currently playing around with 21914/23129/23678. XYC generally updates most apps (if he feels there is something to gain) when he cooks up the next release.

is it possible if someone could give me the clock on the Home Screen of Squeaky Clean ROM? I cant find it anywhere. I have found a variant of it and other fonts for the the Manila 2.5 clock but never come across this clock. Its sorta like the original T-Mobile or Verizon clock right? If anyone can help me out that would be great. All I need is the clock, I dont use CHT either so need manila files. Thanks guys.

I am hoping some of you guys can help me out with editing the registry to make this rom work for me. I am using a verizon unlocked tp2 on att. I also use napster to go, (which is a subscription service) for my music. On the stock rom from verizon, I have no problem hooking my phone up to napster, but on squeaky rom it does not show up when I try to sync. No problems at all with activesync or any other syncing...just napster. I have xp on my laptop, so use activsync for the phone, Squeaky rom, 1.87.00wv radio. (I have also tried other radios...none worked any better.)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...I am tired of trying other roms as I can't find anything else that is as good as this or that allows me to use my mms and data through att.

not sure about your question but im sure someone here can help you out but ive been following this thread and its been kinda dead lately.... so dont expect anythin too quick...

but i was wondering how you got mms and data to work on gsm with your unlocked cdma phone.... did you use my cab from my thread ----> http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...m-network.html or did you do it another way??? i know there are a lot of people out there who have been trying to figure out how to make it work and thats why i posted a thread on my solution (first and only that i know of) but only 3 or 4 people have replied to it so idk if many people know about it.... if you didnt use my cab and found another solution then could you please post your findings here, my thread or start a new one to help others with the same problem. that would help the comunity greatly. im interested to see another solution because mine works about 90% there are a few minor issues i havnt figured out wich are stated in my thread and id like to know if yours works 100% THANKS!!!!
