What are CRC errors?

cyclic redundancy check (CRC) or polynomial code checksum

CRCs are so called because the check (data verification) code is a redundancy (it adds zero inormation) and the algorithm is based on cyclic codes. The term CRC may refer to the check code or to the function that calculates it, which accepts data streams of any length as input but always outputs a fixed-length code. CRCs are popular because they are simple to implement in binary hardware, are easy to analyse mathematically, and are particularly good at detecting common errors caused by noise in transmission channels

Can someone explain to me after I flashed this rom and drained the battery to train it, the phone reseted its self. When i say rested its self I mean system clearing its self completely, like wipe device. So im not sure if anyone else noticed that or was it something wrong with my phone.

Then it will be just fine. Just take your time wait for CHT 1.8 to finish on 1st boot. Then wait for XDA_UC screen to come up and finish.

Ok

Here V9.3 All Carrier download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?zjjmqdtuymm

Check for CRC myself and got errors, so uploading again!

Check it if you want, maybe I had trouble during the DL process.

(Email issues again) This time it let me setup the account easy, downloaded the new email, but it won't let me open them. It just stays at the preview screen. It almost like it's opening the mail in a new window that I cant see.

OK, so did you come up with that yourself or is it a cut and paste?

Been away from computer (acutally updating daughter's BB s/w). Confirm CRC error on all carrier download. :(

Edit: in other words, it is a check to see if all the data was downloaded (or uploaded) correctly. If you open up the file in WINRAR there is a "test" button (yes, jstine taught me) or you could just unrar the file and if it hits an error it'll let you know!

C&P !:disgust: The easy to understand version "in other words, it is a check to see if all the data was downloaded (or uploaded) correctly."

Soft reset your phone then try. Works for me, alway have problems getting email the 1st time after setting up the account. Don't know what the soft reset does but it works everytime.
