Timberwolf,

Im just curious do you have stealth tethering on your roms? If not which I dont think you do do you think you could add it on your version 9.

I would like to watch more movies through my phone :)

I need a little assistance concerning this. It happened the lesser versions too. I just turned it off before. I believe it has to do with something with cookie not syncing with the actually amount of texts. Either way, here it is a ghost message that won't go away.

Fix for Cookie "Ghost messages" if anyone needs it.

Maybe it's not file explorer itself, maybe it's the file explorer extension. The ability to scroll through the directories on the top of the screen is part of an extension addon for file explorer, right? Maybe if jstine just uses file explorer (without the extension) it would solve the problem. Don't know, just guessing! Also, is having the extension worth the resetting issue?

Also, I'm having the issue with using q-menu to close file explorer. Whenever I've tried to close all running programs including file explorer it locks up the phone. Hit the reset button and all's well again.

I reported this a while back, and it still does it from time to time. If file explorer is in your list of running programs, it will freeze up the phone if you try to end all of the programs. Even doing it with task manager it will freeze the phone sometimes. So I dont think it has to do with quick menu, it has to do with file explorer. even using ark switch back in the day(couple months ago) it did this also.

Suntopper, I will send a pm for the link to a rom that I will build tomorrow without file exp. ext. so you can try it. But what I remember 3 or 4 months ago we had the same problem with with a different task manager(sorry can't remember it's name). When this was 1st reported I didn't have file explorer ext. in the roms. I'm not sure what is causing the problem, but I will try anything to solve the issue. So Suntopper, are game to beta test V9 23569 without the ext in the rom? I should be 99% done with the rom by 16:00 hrs tomorrow so let me know. Major changes to V9, new manila engine, new xip and sys, oem's. Pretty smooth rom so far!. CHT import errors gone, larger start menu text.

You will also see the slider issue I have with it dropping below the taskbar. It occurs on all roms so I would not say it is your problem. Just not sure why it happens or what program is causing it. Resolves with restarting Sense.

NRGZ28's new roms have the backup built in.

Here's the problem, if I make the hole larger so you can see more of the non dusk icon behind it. Then the true dusk icons will look funny. I made the dusk frame to match the same size as the dusk frame icons. Sorry I would have rather have all the quick links to look the same than some to have a frame and some not.

I will if I can get the new 1325 manila tabs to all work. I have flashed 20 times this morning trying to get it to work. No E-reader, Recent Doc or Facebook. Will pm when ready.

Re: *** 5/19/10 Timberwolf Roms in 6 Colors + Matching Dialer

Timberwolf, thanks for a great ROM.

I had installed the 6.something ROM and had freezes when switching between GSM/CDMA mode that seem to fixed in this 8.3 version. (I was travelling in China over the last two weeks, so switched back and forth way more than usual with the old ROM.)

The only problem I have with the "Sprint Only 23562" 8.3 ROM is that the comm manager bluetooth ON/OFF toggle doesn't really turn on/off the bluetooth <edit: only happened immediately after I flashed the 8.3 ROM> even though it shows that it does (the bluetooth icon doesn't display on the top bar, but the comm manager toggle shows "on" when the bluetooth is actually off). Also clicking on the Bluetooth configure section of the comm manager pops up the built-in WM6 bluetooth settings tool that does nothing (I tried to pair with something like that and it found nothing because bluetooth was turned off and it didn't know about it and happily tried to detect new bluetooth devices and found nothing.)
However, the link in the Settings Menu that goes directly to the Widcomm bluetooth setup tool works. It would be cool if the bluetooth controls on the Comm Manager would work as well.

Edit:
Looks like once the bluetooth is turned on by the Widcomm tool after flashing the ROM, the comm manager toggle works even after reboots. I was just thrown for a loop since none of my headsets would pair after flashing the 8.3 ROM using just the comm manager bluetooth settings and on/off toggle. I guess there's little you can do about the initial on/off issue... I don't want to do another hard reset to find out what happens if bluetooth was on before the flash (when I flashed the 8.3 ROM I had bluetooth turned off.)

However, the "Set up Bluetooth headset" part of the Comm Manager doesn't call the widcomm configuration tool, so it never works, even though it goes throught the motions of "detecting" devices to pair and finds nothing.

Well I tried to prepare by determining what needs to be running besides file explorer but now I can't get the phone to freeze, LOL. I've tried file explorer left on device, storage card and one and more programs open. Programs include Bing, Google Maps, Calculator, pocket UNO but when I close all the phone works fine??? Has anyone been able to isolate this further? I know when it locked up before it was pretty consistent whenever I selected close all in q-menu.

Confused (again) :dontknow:

The missing BT icon is because of the newer dialer I included in V8.3. Till working on why it doesn't when turned on. :dontknow:
