+1 to what Mr. X said. I also use the Sprint drivers and kernel in one of my ROMs, and there is no bad effect but maybe the effect of a little more smoothness all around, the drivers and kernel are completely fine. As far as the manila compiled for them, it is pretty much the exact same except a few tweaks to the people and messaging tabs, and the addition of sprint nav and tv tabs as the two versions of 2012 (sprint and what most chefs use) were compiled less than 24 hours apart. Sprint just threw the update together quickly without testing for long and applying appropriate fixes hence some of the issues people have and some of the cabs you have to install to fix things.

If any of you guys knew what you were talking about, there's A LOT of useful stuff in the Sprint ROM.

Using 90% base of GSM is just... careless as a CDMA Chef! Period.

Sorry, but i'll put my ROM down against any others and show you guys how useful the Sprint ROM can be.

IMO

since i'm giving out +1's today, lol, I will give one to Mike too, especially for his 90% base of GSM comment, very true. And i'll hide my Sprint ROM in the desk drawer from the OK Corral ROM Shootout Challenge ;)

I doubt that its the kernel and drivers causing this.

2) Again the drivers and kernel have nothing to do with this bug, Im on full Sprint drivers and xip/kernel and dont have this issue. its just bugs in the rom its self it was compiled poorly there are many bugs.

3) for the third time the drivers have nothing to do with this. I dont have this issue either, been running these drivers since the rom dropped in my rom. However i did get the sleep of death on the sprint rom when i flashed it. Its the radio by the way. The older VZW radio used to cause random sleep of death as well.

4) the sprint manila was compiled for them. it is junk, don't bother with it.

5) i can agree 100% Smart chefs will only take the kernel, drivers and a handful of packages. most of it is utter crap.

Dude I've been quiet lately because I been using this ROM and trust me after tearing it apart it has small issues that are due to its "Newer" kernal and those certain newer drivers, after changing out some of the drivers I don't have any issues anymore .... even the SPCS manila works just like the GSM manila if not better I used this with the new SPCS radio and still got SOD's and lockup's and non-functioning browsers plug-ins ..... funny thing is that I ran this without any add-on's
